Unfortunately this item came used. It had mouth markings on the mouthpiece, was dirty, and gross. Super disappointing. Am returning

Out of the box, I was very pleased with the beauty of the marble design and couldn’t wait to make music with this jazz piece. I’m glad to have paid the extra $20 for the sandstone marble design – it’s gorgeous . At first playing it seemed too resistant even with the soft reeds I use, but after several days of adjusting my embouchure, I am loving and enjoying this new thing! The response becomes so pleasant once I bonded with correct embouchure and took control of it.
The connection from the boring seemed tighter than my existing mouthpiece, and didn’t want to force it… turns out I didn’t need to push it into the neck – as it has decent intonation sitting further than my existing piece.

Wow this is an amazing mouthpiece! Very sharp looking nothing crazy or flashy just plain saxy!
This review is solely on the quality and first impressions upon the unboxing. I cannot find a single issue with this as far as quality or defects there is really nothing anybody can complain about. I will be updating my review on the playability as soon as I can.
Update!! Well my new Jean Paul Tenor came in shortly after my review. This sax pairs really nice with this mouthpiece using the Daddario 2.5 and I will probably go to a 3. The sound is full not bright at all. Really glad I came across this mouthpiece. Price must meet quality and these purchases met that easily and I feel I got the better deal for my money.

I’m using a Theo Wanne slant sig. It is less “free blowing” than the D’Addario, but more of a jazz sound. Now, you can save a few bucks and save your chops if you are not a jazz guy. Check out the D’Addario.

When I bought this mouthpiece I was looking for something that not only performed well but actually looked good, and man was I impressed with this mouthpiece! I’m a professional musician and need a mouthpiece with a good overall range, and sound quality, and this mouthpiece performs excellently! I use it in all my performances and have found it to be really reliable, good range and very snazzy looking! For the price it’s a great investment to any musicians ensemble!

My level 4 years hobby on tenor sax. I played on Rico graftonite C7 before. This mouthpiece is a clear upgrade . It CNC machined including reed table and rails – no human touch. I checked it with microscope. It is more balanced and stable then Rico graftonite , especially in low register. Very forgiven for lips placement and reed selection. Easy to play. Produce very loud and rich sound. I definitely like it, but now I got by chance vintage Berg Larsen-it is much more tricky in sound control but has much more sound variations than D’Addario D7M. If I will failed to learn to control Berg Larsen – will back to D’Addario.

This is a superb mouthpiece. Free blowing and a great combination with my Yanagisawa tenor: it produces a very rich, dark tone. I was a bit concerned that this 7M might be a bit too open at 105 (I’ve been playing a Jody Jazz HR 6* – 95) but it took only a few minutes to adjust. Nice looking piece, too. Fairly tight on the cork though.

I love this mouthpiece!-easy blowing and great tone!-I have a Vandoren TL3 as well and they are distinctly different-the D’Addario plays so well and is very distinct as where the TL3 is a bit more subtle-(smaller tip opening)-both great for certain situations but I think I’ll be playing the D’Addario more often-Oh and it looks great as well!-
(Also the Vandoren M/O Ligature fits like a glove on there)-using a Boston Sax Co #2 custom reed-highly recommend them as well!…
