Buon prezzo certamente.

Quality light strings and good sound

A friend of mine suggested these for me because I strictly play acoustic guitar, and I tend to do a lot of lead and finger picking. Heavier strings just aren’t very good for that. They buzz too much and it requires a lot of pressure, etc. Even light strings, although significantly better than medium-heavy, were unsatisfying.
These strings however, are magnificent. They’re very noticeably unique, bearing a bright bouncy tone, and a clear ring wether you’re sliding, or soloing, or anything else. I don’t know how to describe it, but playing another guitar with any other strings feels like a different instrument. I don’t plan on ever putting any other strings on my guitars(sans my classical)
Lastly, I’ve heard the downside to these strings is that they don’t last very long. I’ve been using them on my guitar about a month now and they look a little worn, but I think they’re okay. Who knows? I’ll update any extra info about it later.

My guitjo (banjitar) was overdue for a new set of strings and in the past, I’ve purchased individual phosphor bronze wound strings for it INDIVIDUALLY – The sizes that gave it the most gusto. Well after pricing up my individual string order, over $45 for 6 strings, I decided to try a standard ‘set of 11s or 12s’ guitar strings, but of course, couldn’t find that with loop ends like my guitjo needs… soooo… after a lot of research, I decided to give these a try and I love ‘em! Great tone. They installed smoothly. I cranked out a few aggressive tunes on them and they ‘took the beating.’ So far – very good! I’ll update this if there are any durability issues, but if I get a decent life span out of them, I’ll be very happy with them. I’ve been a very loyal D’addario string customer for many decades, and am still convinced – they’re the best!

Loved the sound of these strings…for about three days. After that the tone became quite muted. Great sound for swing/hot jazz initially then mostly good for practice. Really easy to play and great feel.

I wanted to try to give my Washburn 000 size acoustic guitar a more jazzy sound and tried the silk and steel strings by martin and they sounded like junk (no surprise, martin makes awful strings) so I went with these and wow was I shocked at the magic tone these strings have ! It makes the guitar sound much richer with a great vibrato that gypsy jazz guitars are known for. I’ll be making these my regular string rotation now I liked them so much. They work great, always stick with D’addario for strings, they’re the king. Give these a try if you’re thinking about it, you won’t regret it!

When it comes to my acoustic guitar, these are the only strings that I want. D’Addario strings in general are great quality – in my opinion the best at a reasonable price – but these in particular are excellent. Their tone is more warm than bright, which I personally prefer. They hold their tuning very well, they’re easy to install with the color-coded ball ends, and they look very aesthetically pleasing with the whitish-silver color. But most importantly to me is the feel/texture. I’ve never liked standard bronze strings because they are so rough (I have very sensitive skin), and thus would completely destroy my fingers. But with these, I can play for way longer without the discomfort that bronze strings cause me. All in all, I highly recommend these.

WHOOPS! I orderred these a few weeks ago and realized after recieving the paclage that I accidently got the “Loop end” strings and not the typical Ball Ended ones I actually needed… Regardless of that mistake on my part, IF you own a delicate older acoustic/ or Hollowbody Archtop Electric Jazz Box style guitarl… or IF you own a standard flat top cAcoustic Guitar and your fingers are sore and you are tired of bending strings and or bar chords being WAY to difficult.. etc.. or if your wanting a more warm, mellow tone overlall with less of that typical Brassy/Bright high end bite that most Bronze strings have… then these are your friend… These strings are THE BEST Acoustic Archtop Strings I have ever played… They are Steel cor strings, that have a pure copper winding that is electroplated in Pure SIlver… they have a very pleasant and even tone when fresh, and they are WAY WAY WAY Lower Tension than any Bronze wrapped string i ever have played. If your tired of being tired and having way sore fingers when you play your acoustic ( Especially if you have an OLDER fragile archtop thats had its kneck warped and has super high action from way to heavy bronze standard acoustic strings being left on it for years!) then these rifght here are worth the $$ Just try a set… The ONLY downside to these strings is that the silver coasting will wear off the wound strings over about a month ( if you play extensively and for many hours almosyt dialy like i do) and they will get rounder and more mellow as that silver coating wears off.. I wish they were about $2 cheaper, but to be honest… I wont pu tANYTHING else on my Beloved 1 of a kind Acoustic Archtop… its to precious and it plays and sounds PERFECT with these Silver plated Low Tension Acoustic Artchop Gypsie Jazz Strings… And btw… I play Mostly Hard Rock and Metal/Grunge type music.. but I love Blues and classic rock and all sorts of music… And i LOVE THESE STRINGS… Lower Tension on your acoustics kneck is NEVER a bad thing… Martin Guitars when you buy a new one… State clearly “DO NOT USE MEDIUM/HEAVY Guage Guitar strings, these will damage your guitar over time” … lol.. Its funny to me that the magority of acoustic guitars flast top or arch top… come with WAY TO HEAVY guaged strings on them which make it a chore to fret, instead of the joy and easy pleasure it should be!… Do yourself and your fingers and YOUR POOR ACOUSTIC GUITAR A FAVOR! And try a set of these! You wont regret it…. I sure do wish that D’Addario would start offering these in a discounted 3-pack!!! ide buy them every 2-3 months!
