Great sounding instruments in this plug in.
However it was needlessly complicated to set up with very little support. Loops are problematic in logic and work well in ableton live 9. The website needs a good overhaul as even simple updates are hard to find. I have installed successfully on the imac and still am having no luck on my macbookair as the software cannot find the instruments even when I have followed instructions to the letter by creating alias documents in the right folders.
A very very annoying plug in to work with. Motu need to update their support and create software that is easier to set up. The ilok has to be purchased separately.

This Virtual Instrument is everything I’ve expected and more. The sounds are so authentic and inspiring and its different functions just blow your mind. Every home (that makes music) should have one. Amazon’s service was phenomenal as usual. The product came 2 days after I had placed the order. MOTU and Amazon YOU GUYS ROCK

It would be good software if you didn’t need the ILOK system. I find the ILOK system linked to the MOTU incredibly frustrating. Run from this software eventhough the sounds are good.

I love this, and I only have Ver. 1. The samples are amazingly real, the grooves supplied cover about everything you could want, and the company’s tech support is great. I had lost track of my disk copies, only had the dongle and manual, and they sent me the installer disk and the data disk, free.

You can assign a bunch of similar grooves to channels in a multi-track, then swap back and forth with muting/unmuting. Or you can use it as a real sampler and play it with your midi files.

In my research on this product, I never saw any mention of needing an iLock key. It wasn’t until after I got it and saw the sticker on the box that I found out.
Yes, it is true if you dig deep enough on the Motu site you will find something telling you that it is required. Of course it doesn’t tell you how to get one or that it is an additional $50.
I thought software companies had given up on the foolish idea of dongles years ago. And the idea that I get to pay extra for clunky copy protection? – this makes this product a disappointment and a no-go for me. Sending it back.
