Gabriel Condrea –
extremely well made stand, will easily stand up to rigours of touring, folds up small but is heavy to carry by foot to a gig.
The cork is embedded in some sort of soft resin so will last longer than I expected.
Very pleased.

Has 3 settings for arm distance and had to put it on the 2nd. The bass isn’t symmetrical, but the cork grips it well and the stand works great

Overall I like this product. Its well made an does the job. My only issue is that what I need it for, bass guitars, it can be a little tricky with. Basically, all bass guitars do not bottoms like Les Paul guitars. They have unique shapes at times (not talk flying V or explorer shapes!) and some are not as wide as you think. My issue with the design is that the hooks the bass guitar sits on are not adjustable, they are fixed. You can change the overall width the stand sits at which allows the hooks to change width. No angle changes though. Also, if you don’t have this thing in the fully wide position, the bass guitar will sit a little off center on the rubber rest, where the neck connects to body. Ultimately I am going to keep it and it works for most of my basses, but it would be cool if the manufacturer made the hooks more adjustable in terms of twisting to deal with odd or thinly shaped guitars. It will probably work and work well for most of you. Oh one other very minor complaint: If you do have that stand in its full wide position, there was only like a 1/4 inch clearance between the strap lock on my bass and the floor. This is the other reason I keep it one click inside the widest position.

This stand is awesome; it’s simple, substantial, foldable and portable. My guitars are cradled perfectly in its clutches with a great rubber compound at all the areas that touch the body of the guitar. It’s easy to set the guitar in the cradle and very accessible to pull the guitar out of the stand with the stand not budging. I have Koenig & Meyer large and small keyboard stands, tall and short microphone stands, and the K&M cup holders and headphone cradles. They are all every single bit worth their cost. The fittings and welds are strong and perfectly engineered and the black powder coat finish is perfect. This is the stuff you want; buy them once and they will surely last the life of your studio. It’s a joy to be able to feel and use quality pieces.

Readily available. I got 5 of them at different times.
4 electric guitar stands and 1 acoustic guitar stand.
Very sturdy but it left a 2”x 1/2” rub mar on the backs of my 3 new Gibson guitars. To say that I’m displeased would be a major understatement!
Don’t buy this stand for guitars with a nitrocellulose finish! It will destroy the finish. I found this out 5 months later!!

REVISED: Press the latching pin. Close the stand by one notch. The stand now works as intended. Sorry that this did not occur to me before reviewing.
“The stand works very well, and holds the guitar stably. However, the hooked parts, which hold the guitar body, interfere with the output cable when the cable-jack is on the side of the guitar, as are many non-Fender versions. That places the guitar neck to one side of the support-rubber block. Not a big deal, but an oddity on a well-made stand.”

Nice and sturdy. I use this stand for both full-size and 3/4 and 7/8 scale guitars.

Perfect for a strat body (and similar) in terms of fit. The stand itself is rock solid.
This note from the card inside the box has me a little concerned, but I think it’s just good advice no matter what type of foam or rubber your stand comes with:
“Some high quality guitars have a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, requiring careful handling. Because of the sensitive finish, not only Konig & Meyer but also renowned guitar manufacturers recommend making a rule to keep such guitars in a case for long-term storage. During performances, be sure to use a high-quality guitar stand such as one provided by Konig & Meyer. After using it, put the guitar back in its case for storage and transport.”
So, is it safe for the finish…or not? Or is this just good practice for any stand, even ones that claim that they’re safe? Given the specs on their website, I’m leaning towards it being safe, and just good advice. It’s just such good quality and build.
