Its a great product, and I’m still making it work because I like the sturdy construction, but with D4 and D850 with the grip, its crammed in there with no room for the laptop. And some how still need more space for lenses and extras, so I’m selctive on what I take out.

This is a great product. It is very sturdy, well constructed and highly adaptable to being customized to carry my cameras and lenses safely. The addition of TSA approved locks keeps prying hands out! Yes, it is heavy, but rolls easily. The only negative to the weight is placing a fully loaded case in the overhead compartment of a plane; a minor inconvenience, considering its strong construction and protection it is providing to my expensive cameras, lenses and equipment. You will be very satisfied with this case.

Before deciding to buy this case I checked well known camera supply websites figuring if they sold it and actual photographers likes it that it would likely be a good case.
I then checked to see if that same case was available here.
This is the case my research brought me to. I have one camera body, 6 lens (including a Sigma 150mm – 600mm), 2 flash units, cords, batteries, filters, and a computer. The case is pretty solid and it appears it will hold up well. It rolls nice. The multiple handles make it easy to handle.
I do not have any concerns about items shifting and getting damaged. With the ability to have 2 padlocks on it, security shouldn’t be a big problem either.

Recently bought a Nikon Z5 to pair with my DSLR. Needed a hard case to travel with amount of gear I have now.
Good quality. It is a bit shallow for the DSLR (d750)with battery grip as some other reviews have mentioned but it’s fine for me. I just take it off to store it. The Z5 DOES fit with the battery grip on. Used for a few days. Easy to roll. Latches solid. Haven’t had to drag the case through the rain yet so no clue on water resistance.

As a professional videographer, I need a case that can protect my valuable gear while withstanding the rigors of frequent travel. This case delivers on all fronts. The rugged, hard-shell design provides exceptional protection against impacts, scratches, and other forms of damage. The photo dividers are also incredibly useful, allowing me to customize the interior layout to fit my specific needs. I’ve flown with this case multiple times, and it’s performed flawlessly. The airline-approved design ensures that I can carry it on board with confidence, knowing that it meets all relevant regulations. Whether you’re a professional photographer or simply an enthusiast, the SKB Airline Approved Case is an excellent investment for anyone who needs to transport their gear safely and securely. GO SKB!!!

I was using a heavy Lowepro case WITHOUT WHEELS for a year. I finally bought this case and it fits all my stuff, is lightweight and great size for carry-on. Most important it has wheels so I’m not lugging around a huge heavy road case anymore (that was my bad). GAME CHANGER. I love this case. Why do they make cases without wheels to begin with??

I’m a well-traveled pro who has worked in more than 20 countries. This is my second case from SKB and I’m a fan of their build quality, workmanship, an attention to detail. However you will also find worthy competitors, sometimes at better prices. Yet, when an otherwise great equipment case adds wheels, this is when the “rubber” truly meets the “road.” Read on for a comparison, and an evaluation of the optional Think Tank dividers:
IS PELICAN STILL THE BEST VS. SKB, SEAHORSE AND APACHE?
Pelican is the original. However, competitors, led by SKB, have evolved workmanship and ease of use features to the next level, in my opinion. Like the Pelican, the SKB “burps” automatically—important on a plane when pressurized. Bargain cases typically have to be burped manually. I also prefer the SKB latches for their sturdiness and ease in opening. Seahorse case quality is also really admirable for the money but not quite as refined. Apache comes from that bargain priced “Freight” hardware chain and some swear that Apache is actually also made by Pelican. I have no way of verifying but if money is tight, Apache is really a deal.
WHICH BRAND IS EASIEST TO ROLL?
I have not yet taken a road trip with Seahorse but, frankly, the wheels on the SKB blow away the rougher rolling Pelican and Apache. SKB wheels are just like those on high quality luggage and this, for me, is the deciding factor in choosing this great SKB.
IS THE OPTIONAL THINK TANK INSERT WORTH CONSDERING?
In my opinion, yes and no. Think Tank makes great bags that are fully in sync with the needs of pros like me. This particular design seems to be a bit dated now—more suited to the typical lens shapes of the DSLR era. Now that pro photography is moving toward mirrorless, lenses are more often more squat, but definitely getting wider. Although this Think Tank insert is three inches longer than the one that fits typical 17” wide cases, it is actually less useful. One of the three channels across width is too thin and only good for accessories. The partition section is a couple inches deeper than than the Think Thank/SKB model that fits the 17 x 11” case. However, this creates some concern for equipment jostling about in transit.
The lid insert is ok, only moderately useful for tiny accessories but great for slipping in a laptop. However, SKG and Think Tank should also redesign it because (in my opinion) the necessary foam padding that is typically placed in the lid has been entirely removed to make room for the lid insert. Even after a laptop and some accessories are placed in the flap pockets, there is still another ½ to 1 inch available in the lid area, Thus, I cut a piece of ½” thick foam that I can fit between the lid insert and the equipment for extra protection. However, for a $250 case, a redesign of the Think Tank system may be warranted. Having said that, I still recommend trying the Think Tank insert because other competing brands also have their pros and cons. It really depends on your particular equipment, and whether you are a photog, primarily a videographer, or a musician or sound tech.
All is all, this case is terrific.
HAPPY CREATING!

I’ve had this case for a little over a year now and thought it was a really good case. About 3 months ago, the pins to the handle broke. So I put in new pins to fix it. Then today, the whole handle snapped off. Do not buy this case!
