The Tuner is not ambidextrous. I’m left-handed and so face is the wrong way. Also, the effect of the cigarette, and the Strings is not convincing as the whole thing is giant
Steven McCurdy –
I really like the display – it’s very clear when the guitar is tuned and there’s a lot a gradation so you can see just how much of an adjustment to make. There are two issues, and the second is exacerbated by the first.
First, the spring is very weak, so you have to attach this vertically to your guitar. If it’s at any kind of angle, it falls off due to gravity. This means that it doesn’t work well on certain types of guitars. For example, it doesn’t really work for my Fender Strat nor the Squier. It does work well for my Yamaha acoustic and my Epiphone Les Paul guitars. This is due to the placement of the tuning nuts.
The second issue isn’t an issue when it’s mounted vertically, but even if it did have a stronger spring to hold on my other guitars, it would be hard to use. That’s because it doesn’t pivot or rotate. So, any mounting other than vertical, and the screen is very hard to see.
If your guitar will fit the tuner, it works well. I do like how easy it is to read. However, it won’t work well with all guitars.
If it weren’t for the tuner, I’d give this two or three stars.
BTW, I did wonder why the box looks like a cigarette pack, but it’s actually pretty cute. I won’t spoil it for you.

Great product, works great. Looks cool also. Would be cooler if light on top stayed on constantly.
Otherwise works perfectly

Looks great, yes it’s only right handed if you don’t want to run it upside down, but I’m right handed so doesn’t matter to me. Only complaint is despite how hard I tried to open the box my hand carefully it ripped. Luckily I make my own storage boxes.

I was hesitant to order this because of some concerns about it having a weak spring based on another review I read, but it’s just so darned cool looking, I had to have it. I haven’t experienced any issues with the spring. It clips on fine to my Fender headstocks as well as the angled ones without slippage. Perhaps not all springs are created equal. The only issue I’ve noticed is that it reads a couple of cents sharp across the board from the low E to the high E when comparing it to my Peterson clip on strobe at A440 pitch. It’s practically unnoticeable however because all the strings sound in tune in relation to each other. Don’t rip the box open when you get it. The box is a part of the cool factor. You can slide a dull knife underneath the flap to separate the rubbery glue. The USB charging is great. A single charge is going to last you a long time. Why haven’t other mini tuner manufacturers thought of this? It’s hard to find replacement batteries for some tuners and they’re not the cheapest batteries around. Overall, I love it. The aesthetics make me feel like Ronnie Wood (minus the cigarette smell).

Had to post here since my review wasn’t allowed on the website. The design is very cute and it’s very well built. High quality materials with a high quality display and battery. I was honestly impressed with the battery life since it isn’t replaceable.
The bad: it doesn’t tune lower frequencies. I’ve tried this on multiple different styles of guitars as well as positioning the tuner in different positions. Everytime I seemed to encounter significant issues with the tuner picking up the E and A strings on the low frequency. If you play in D or anything lower, this thing will not register at all. Had to use my old tuner to adjust, as even when it showed dead on, my E and A would be several semitones off.
If you can stand with that, it is incredible! Some minor adjustments to the core of its function, and this will be one of the best stylized tuners.
