Sea11Side –
You can’t beat the convenience of a clip-on tuner. I use mine for guitar and bass and it handles the job perfectly. I am not a musical hardo demanding perfect tuning accuracy. It seems to get near enough to perfect for my needs. For shows, I always have a Polytune tuner on my pedal board. But for rehearsals, this is a must. You clip it on the headstock, turn it on, and just start tuning. It is very simple and easy to use. Everyone should have one in their guitar case or gig bag.
My only real complaint about this product is the “eyestalk” mounting system. The base/clip has an extension and the tuner is attached to that. I have had several of these before. I throw this in my gig bag and it gets banged around with everything in there. Too many times, the tuner part gets broken off the eyestalk. This time, I got a little Geekria case to keep it protected. Another $10 that I hope will be well spent in terms of Snark longevity.
If you are not put off by the risk of the Snark being broken, then you should get this product. It will be a great mobile tuner.

It does what a tuner does, what else can you ask for? For me that’s the metronome I was supposed to get on the tuner as a feature, but it’s fine.

The clip mechanism is sturdy and easy to use. The display is big, bright and easy to see. I can twist it around in different positions. I like to have it so the display is hidden under the headstock and I can do that easily with the Snark. I love this thing!

Maybe I got a bad one, but the 1st, E string (the high one), on both of my guitars shows up as A in this tuner, unless I put my hand on all of the remaining 5 strings; and, then, it usually shows an E, but not right away. This quirk just doesn’t give me a “warm fuzzy” so I’ve reverted using the built-in tuner on my acoustic. (Honestly, this is not a step up from my old SN-1, which still works fine, though it lost one of the rubber pads.)
Update (05 Aug 2016): I had contacted Snark support about the problem I was seeing and they said it was not normal, and sent me a new tuner. This one seems fine, but it is also clear (and confirmed by Snark) that they have changed this model slightly. The older one that I got says SuperTight on the face and has a metallic brass/gold power button and bars for LEDs in the note display. The newer one simply says Snark on the face (both say SuperTight on the back), has a yellow power button, and small square LEDs to comprise the note’s letter.
Picture of the two models attached while displaying the odd, occasional confusion about the high-E tuning. (The older display is really just as clear as the new one, but the angle I turned the guitar/camera to cut out reflected overhead light makes it seem grayed out a bit.)
Update 2 (21 Aug 2016): I’ve had a chance to use the newer version tuner in noisy situations and it definitely behaves better than the older model I was originally shipped. I didn’t A/B it with my old, blue Snark, but it behaves well enough that I can say it seems to be Ok for my purposes. It does not seem like an improvement, though, so just moving the review from 3 to 4 stars.

Simple, fast, easy and very good screen. Had lots of tuners and tried out almost everything, but this is the best!

Excellent. Love rechargeable addition.

I’ve purchased at least 8 different types of clip-on tuners and this one is easily the best so far. I use it mainly to tune by basses (which can be a challenge for some tuners). Here are the simple reasons why I like this one over some of the others:
– The clip is the perfect tightness. I’ve tried some that are not tight enough so it doesn’t pickup the vibration very well. And I’ve also had one that was too tight, to the point where it was difficult to clip it on with one hand (the Fender clip-on was way too tight).
– It starts up and shuts down fast. I know this seems like a simple feature, but I’ve tried others, and some take a while to boot. Also, others I’ve tried require holding a button down for a few seconds to turn off. Both are quite annoying. With this one, you just tap the button and it’s on in under a second, tap the button again and it instantly shuts off. So simple, but other manufactures don’t seem to get it.
– The accuracy is impeccable! And trust me when I say this, because I use it to tune bass guitars! Others that I’ve tried struggle on the lower strings like the E and A. I also have a 5 string with a low B and most can’t even do it. This one has no problem with all strings. It struggles just a little bit with the B, but nowhere near the problems I’ve had with others.
– You can position the face in any angle, so it doesn’t matter where you clip it! I’ve used other tuners where they limit the angle of where you can position the face. This can be really annoying! I have no idea why other manufacturers don’t simply give you all angles. If you look at the design of this one, it’s quite simple the way they’ve designed it. Other manufacturers should take heed.
– The display is nice and bright. My Jazz bass has a really long neck, and with some of the other tuners, it was hard to see the display when clipped to the furthest point of the headstock (my eyesight isn’t that great, and if on stage, the bright lights can also make it difficult to read). This display is large, bright, and easy to read.
This is easily a 5 star product

I liked how easy it was to use. Great for tuning accuracy, great quality for the price.

its accurate, bright, easy to read, rechargeable, and at a good price. Im a beginner guitarist and didn’t really need a chromatic tuner, I guess that’s a bonus but it didn’t cost extra

Snark is a great name in tuners. Adding a rechargeable battery just makes it better.
