Love this pedal! Very versatile distortion. I use it with clean and dirt channels. Without and with other pedals. Sounds really good going into muff.

La distorsión es buena, tiene el sonido clásico y el custom de este modelo. Ambas distorsiones agregan buen sustain. Yo lo estoy usando como Booster para solos y funciona excelente

A modernized version of a legendary guitar pedal. Check a drawer, check your garage. Doesn’t everyone have on of these by now? This version has a setting that provides more volume than the original while still keeping the OG circuit alive. Two modes; Standard & Custom.
Christian Smith –
The mode switch really makes this a universal distortion pedal. The 2nd voicing is very different and super useful.

This pedal is definitely a winner and I use it so much.

Boss makes the best effects pedals for sure. I have been using Boss pedals for years now and I’ve never had any issues with any of them. They sound great and are super durable. Don’t second guess this purchase just get it!

Have been looking for a long time and have tried many od pedals some good and some dreadful. The DS1 W with gain at zero and knob on C is a remarkable overdrive with lots of lower mids, and much room to dial up more if needed. Keep the tone around 9 o’clock with a tele and it’s one of the most responsive and toneful pedals I’ve owned. Brilliant design.

This is a great pedal all around. However, I’m not sure it’s worth the price point difference between this and the original. There are differences in tone between both settings, but I found myself not using the custom option very often. I have not tried the DS2 but feel that may be a better value. I would not purchase again and should have stuck with the original.
