  1. Hello

It’s a very aesthetically pleasing little metronome. In general, I’m partial to the mechanical vs digital, so I really like it. The only con I is that it’s VERY loud. It doesn’t bother me too terribly much but probably worth noting if a ticking metronome drives you nuts – this tick has some kick. My piano teacher moves it to the other side of the room when we use it during lessons lol.

    Prosssss:
-Very Simple and easy to use
-This thing is loud enough for my neighbors to hear it.
-This thing can wind up for a nice amount of time
    -No battery of course

    Cons:
-The metronome needs to be evenly leveled or else it will unequally click (to be expected)
-This is slightly off beat when I compare it to a digital metronome
-Some may not like that you can’t adjust the volume

Overall, it’s acts like a metronome, it feels like a metronome, it sounds like a metronome. I’d still choose a digital one though 😛

I need a metronome now that I’m taking guitar lessons. This one has an extra sound, beside the tik tok beat. There is a spring sound also. I did not expect this. Very disappointing.

The cover latch is awkward to take off. Always have to force it off before using.
Otherwise it is good and easy to use

Wind it up, select the beats per minute (by moving the weight up or down), and start the pendulum swinging. It clicks when it swings to the left, and clicks again when it clicks to the right. It’ll run for over 9 minutes on the fastest setting (Prestissimo, BPM = 208). It’ll run for over 21 minutes on a middle setting (Moderato, BPM = 96). I didn’t have enough patience to see how long it would run on the slowest setting (Grave, BPM = 40). More clicks per minute allows the spring to wind down sooner, needless to say, it lasts long enough for almost any song you can think of. As it runs down, at the end, the length of time between clicks becomes noticeably unequal. It can also be set to also ring a bell every 2, 4, or 6 clicks (or not at all). This can help you keep track of what measure you’re on.
I find it useful when I’m practicing songs that have difficult passages. I play the whole song with the metronome. I keep slowing the metronome down until I can play the difficult passages properly. That way I’m practicing doing the whole song correctly, rather than practicing it with mistakes! Then I can try speeding up the BPM’s a little.
It is LOUD!!! (70 dB, A-weighted, at 1 meter) which is a good thing if you’re rehearsing with a band that is also loud. (I find it hard to believe it only registers 70 dB, but that’s what I got on my SPL meter.) There is no volume control. I put it under a cardboard box lined with foam when I’m using it.

LOVE the look of this! I was torn about what colour would suit my Yamaha, turns out no colour at all was the way to go. Seems to keep time, no complaints there. I also have a Yamaha metronome, this one is more interesting looking and better value.

This is a great metronome for the price. Our kids use it to practice piano and it’s very helpful. It is nice and loud and adjustable for lots of tempos. You can engage a setting that chimes a bell to help them practice time signatures too. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend this product to any current or aspiring musicians.
