This coat is very nice and flattering in terms of fit. I figured out what “dramatic hood” truly means… so come a bit closer and let me tell you about it…
Dramatic hood: en. noun. You must go through major drama trying to get the hood to stay on your head.
Therefore, if you are a hood hater like myself, (unless it’s waaaaaaaaaay below freezing and the weather “dramatically” forces you to resort to putting the hood on) this coat is beautiful. The hood acts as a cape of sorts when weather permits unzipping the coat part way, or a pseudo cowl neck type of collar (are these styles dramatic too?).
Aside from this the coat is very warm and i have felt blessed since I started wearing this coat because below freezing days are quite comfortable when I wear this coat.

For Those Times of Desperation When a Hat and Scarf Just Cant Cut it: A Lesson On Getting the Darn Dramatic Hood to Stay on Your Head.
option 1.
fasten it with a pin or broach just under your chin.
option 2 (works best with an infinity scarf).
After placing the hood on your head wrap the scarf around your neck and hood until it feels like the hood wont come off.
In hindsight I feel that I went through too much drama with this hood on a desperately cold day. However if someone had left a review with tips, I would have been prepared better and would not have had to nearly choke myself with my short regular scarf.

I have been looking for a winter puffy jacket for months. I like the side zipper look. Like other reviews say be gentle with the zipper. The jacket is warm and puffy and when you sit it adjust with you which is good to not feel super puffy while sitting. It goes just below my knees I am 5’3 150-150lbs and got the large. It is a little tight on the shoulders but I have broad shoulders and am a 38D either way I can still move and its not too bad. The side pockets are big and they have a snap to open and close. Overall happy with my purchase that I just received. Also I received it one week before which was a plus.

YES! You wont regret it. I’m 5.7 and about 130 pounds. Got a medium first but it was too wide for me but fit my mom perfectly who is about 5.5 and 140lb. I oredered a small for myself anf it fits great. It’s long, almost down to my knees which is perfect for cold chicago winters. I love the hood, its so confortable and protects from harsh winds from alll sides. And best part is that it looks very cute and stylish. You can wear it with sneakers of heeled boots. It’s also pretty darn warm. Love it.

This coat is warm as can be. However, the zipper stinks! It got stuck once and I was in the coat at the time.. luckily, I was able to weasel my arms out and slide it off of me.

I absolutely love this coat, however the zipper fell apart after two months. It is a heavy, warm, super stylish coat, but at this price point I would’ve expected to get two seasons out of it in NY.
11/2019: I ordered a second one. We will see how the zipper holds up.

I didn’t really believe complaints about zipper for this coat but it is true, at my first try home it stuck pretty bad I couldn’t escape(?) from the coat and sweating for half an hour after rubbing candle wax. Not sure if I’m going to return as I got in at bargain price but not sure what to so with their cheaply made zipper structure.

The jacket is nice looking and warm, but immediately, the zipper was a problem. The material constantly became caught in the zipper. It would often zip unevenly and finally, the zipper insert completely broke off. I received the coat November 14, 2023 and it is unusable today, January 12, 2024.

Beautiful Coat – I love the blue taffeta fabric and the overall design of this coat. I’m 5’8″ and wear a size 4 so I ordered a Medium so it would be long enough in the sleeves and body. When I put it on it was a little roomy in the body, but I’m glad I ordered a medium because the length of the sleeves and body is perfect. There is a drawstring on the back of the coat which I tightened to make it fit better in the waist and against my back. The down filling is generous and I especially like the collar which converts to a hood. I hate wearing hats and this collar looks like it will keep my ears and neck warm. Now it just needs to get cold enough to wear it!
