I bought these shoes for a trip to Ireland and was not disappointed. We did A LOT of walking in all kinds of weather, and my feet stayed dry and warm the entire time. An added bonus is the thick sole which helps to keep your feet off the cold ground.

I’ve been a Dansko fan for a long time, and this new-to-me walking shoe exhibits the trademark Dansko comfort and support, but is also probably about the cutest pair of walking shoes I have ever owned!

These shoes are comfortable, durable, and waterproof. I love the pretty blue color that goes well with all my scrubs. I also chose this shoe for it’s arch support as my arches are high. The shoes took a few days to break in as far as the soles go, but the rest of the shoe is comfortable from day one. I work in a university animal hospital and these shoes stay clean and dry whether I am in large animal or small animal departments.

This was my second pair of these shoes, so now I have one in beige and one in black. They are the best walking shoes I have found, and I have tried a ton of different ones. They are definitely waterproof, as I tested them in some super wet conditions in northern England and Scotland. We walked in the rain and wet, Roman ruins, botanical gardens, cobble streets. They provided awesome support, amazing comfort right out of the box, and kept my feet warm and dry. I could not recommend them highly enough. My foot doctor even grabbed them and told me all the ways they were awesome for me. He was impressed with their construction and support.

I was expecting a lot from these shoes considering the price point, but I was disappointed.

On the first day I used them at work, my right foot was uncomfortable because I could feel a blister forming on the top of my toe(the one next to the smallest).

I took out the removable insole and replaced them, but still no change. These shoes are very uncomfortable so far, but I’ll give them another week just in case they need to be broken in.

I ordered a wide, but I’m wondering if these are a narrow fit. It’s funny because it’s only my right foot that’s getting the blister.

They feel heavy and clunky, and my right side is taking a beating from wearing them.

Very disappointed. I might have to return them.

I have plantar fasciitis and wore the Kuru Atom athletic shoe for a few months. They were fine until they weren’t. A family friend suggested Dansko, so I order this shoe to try them out. This is not a replacement for an athletic shoe. Nor do I expect them to cure my heel pain, but instead are part of a larger plan. The shoe is stiff – supportive for sure. The bottoms are hard, but at this point it seems to work for my feet. I wear them most of the day in my home office office, taking them off a couple times during the day to some foot stretches. They appear small, perhaps due to the toe shape, and generally look nice. The size is a good fit

These shoes, expensive and made to last, may well outlast my desire to wear them. They are sturdy, thick, heavy, solid, very well made. I got black, and they look fine. The textured area top rear that looks like woven material in the photos is actually a sort of scale-patterned plastic. Some seams are top-stitched, might fray, but look good so far. Nothing is falling apart. The toe box is well shielded and tall enough not to press my toes. They are unobtrusive hiking and travel shoes, all-purpose, VERY durable, I think. Now for the flaws!
I changed the laces– they were too thick, and too short, to make the double surgeon’s knot (roll over twice) that keeps them from coming untied. Flat laces twist, so I got round, and much longer. Bothersome and an extra cost, yes. While lacing them up again, I notice that the holes for laces are just plain holes, without metal rings, except for the top two. These two get most stress, so having the metal is good, but why not ring all of them, so laces slide and tighten more easily? There is an annoying drag, even with my smaller laces. Most annoying is this: there are SEVEN holes on each side, counting the top. This takes the laces down right to the beginning of my toes. The two side panels with the holes are notably far apart, so the laces are very obvious, and make the shoe look wider even than it is. This is particularly irritating with the last toe-side holes, being so far down and so wide, and structurally unnecessary– the box is so firm, the laces tighten nothing! I decided to use my laces only in the top six holes, and so I’m left with a very noticeable empty hole at the bottom, that is two empty holes per shoe. Not so obvious in black, but might be in another color. And the toe box is WIDE– feels duckfoot wide– clumsy-clunky. I feel like a person with ugly feet, in these shoes. Not fun! I can see wearing them with thick socks, maybe, and if you have wide feet, maybe you like this feature. (I did not choose wide. ) So, on to the fit. I have high arches, and needed to swap out the liner for one with more support. Bothersome and a considerable extra cost, yes. My toes in the wide boxes still manage to feel pinched, perhaps because they slide and jam. Annoying! Even almost painful, after a walk! AND– the shoes being so strong, so thick, my feet get hot in them. They will take a lot of breaking in– and I will give them that, because the cost has to be amortized. But I worry, because they are also SLIPPERY. Walking on wet tile floors is a dance with death. Vibram slip resistant, the sole is marked: yes, maybe, compared with what? Skates?
In short– a good outdoor fall or spring and winter shoe, yes maybe, but indoors? Not so much.
But durable. Solid. So durable. I wish they were half as solid and half the price.

They are stylish with just about any outfit. My feet rarely hurt from long days walking and standing for hours. The scotch guard, the leather and suede are durable and of good quality. I own them in 3 colors and more to add down the road. The size is on point since I normally wear a 10 the 40 fits perfectly. Worth every dollar if your looking for a good shoe not necessarily just for hiking but multipurpose shoes for comfort and class.

This is a really nice shoe , great quality , nice look , plenty wide enough for my foot but it was to large and they didn’t have half sizes so my heel got rubbed . Blisters sucked as a kid don’t want them now .

Second pair because I loved the first pair. Sizing is true. Waterproof. I would buy more if they had more colors in wide sizes.

I’ve worn dansko clogs for years. It’s the only shoe that my feet are happy in. So far my feet are liking these. It’s nice to have an alternative shoe. Arch support is sufficient, no pain. I’ll edit this if it ever changes after a month wearing them.
