It’s so runny/watery it drops out of the bottle. Makes putting it on very messy. Other than that the smell is minimal (smells like self tanner but could be worse). I’m pretty fair and it leaves a subtle glow, no yellow/orange lines or marks around knees or elbows. Thought it would give me more of a tan but it does the job. Just wish it wasn’t so watery. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

This was my first time using this product. I have always loved btan and saw this shared on tiktok and immediately ordered it. Have used it once and the tan is still holding strong 3 days later. Would highly recommend. No orange color at all. Perfect to use in between my biweekly self tanning routine.

I was skeptical about getting this from the mix reviews and I can’t stand tanning lotion if it has a strong smell. I decided to try it after an influencer that recommended it. She’s good at give her honest opinion and I gotten other things she’s recommended and wasn’t disappointed.
I have used this twice already and I have a tan. It does have a slight tanner smell but it’s not bad and doesn’t last for long. I’m sensitive to smells and will get migraines. It’s comes out like regular lotion a white color. It’s not too thick which is good. It rubs in better. Feels very hydrating when putting it on.
I really like that I can use after I shower. I tan and moisture in one. I like it dry’s fast and you don’t have to wait like the tanning mousse. No sticky feeling. You put it on all over wait a min then get dressed. That’s all no rinsing off later. I already ordered a second bottle so I don’t run out. I still have tanning mousse I’ll eventually finish up but I like this stuff alot better & better than Jergens.

The light tan was quick and as expected. A little darker than other gradual tan lotions. Smells funny. Has a noticeable fake tan biscuity smell. It’s not ideal to wash it off, you want to keep it on for the tan. But putting another scented lotion on top helped. But adds another step to your routine..

I highly doubt I’ll be buying any more b.tan products.

This cream is moisturizing and develops a nice color. I am very scent sensitive and this product isn’t nearly as stinky as most self tanning products I’ve tried. A friend recommended this product and I asked if it stained age spots like every product I have tried. We are both 62. She said no, it did not stain the age spots. It did!!!! If you are younger and don’t have age spots this is a good product at a good price.

Actually the best self tanner for this pasty-white old maid has found! I’m 64 and very active, I live in Arizona where the sun never stops shining, hence I wear a LOT of sunscreen, but my legs are white, like fish-belly white and blue (lots of spider and nearly varicose veins). This tanner gives me a light sun-kiss so I look normal, not scary. I’ve always had problems with other tanners that get too dark around my ankles, knees and elbows no matter how much I exfoliate and pre-moisturize before applying the tannner. This is the only self-tanner that doesn’t do that. This is a thin cream and rubs in easily. And while it could have a better scent, nobody has complained that I smell bad either. Buy it and try it – it’s well-priced!

This product does its job with gradually tanning. I do notice a difference and it isn’t orange or streaky. I actually enjoy the formula, it’s like a thin lotion. Similar to Lubriderm.
What I cannot handle is the smell. They advertise it as not having a fake tan smell and they are right – it is WORSE!!!! Think fake tan smell meets butterscotch of all things. Gross. It is literally so bad. I will use it only if I am able to rinse off a few hours later. I will not use before bed because I don’t want my sheets to smell. I will not use in place of lotion because I don’t want to smell. It is the one thing that would make me never buy this again.

This smells ok and gives a natural looking light tan. It is a rather alarming colour out of the tube, but that helps with the application – making sure you get it evenly spread. It does leave your skin nice and soft and the depth of colour develops gradually – so you can keep it topped up every couple of days. Nice product which I am happy to recommend.
