I have been an avid self tanner for quite some time now and have used a multitude of different products on the market. I have always read great reviews for this and had to check it out for myself. I am glad I did because I am very impressed with the results.
First of all, most products out there advise you to refrain from any type of moisturizing before applying. I was surprised when the directions told me to actually use moisturizer on rough areas such as knees and elbows. Those are always the two areas that can have a “dirty” look after using self tanner. Especially if you are using a cheap brand. I was a little skeptical at first and worried those areas wouldn’t take any color and I would be left with pale spots where I moisturized. Luckily I was wrong and I was left with very even, streak free, natural looking tanned skin.
And unlike many other products, this smells so good! I have always hated the smell of self tanners and cannot wait to get it washed off. This time it was different though.But make sure you wait for it to fully dry (which isn’t long) before dressing.
I also love the color of the lotion and the fact that I can see where it is applied to ensure an even application. I have an olive skin tone and have a bit of color year round so when I tan naturally I get really dark. I have a wedding coming up and I do not do tanning beds and I’m not sure my schedule will allow any pool or beach days so I want to achieve the darkest tan possible in the short time I have. The first time I used it I did exactly as directed and was very pleased with my results. However having a.little darker than average skin tone I wanted a little darker tan so the second time, I applied it all over and waited 2-3 hours and applied again. I then waited 3 -4 hours before showering and was left with exactly what I wanted. In one day my skin looked as if I had been on a Caribbean cruise for a week. I have gotten a ton of compliments and questions.
I can also say that not only does this product tan your skin but the moisture has properties are excellent. My skin looks and feels so much better after using it and I will 100% be purchasing again. I’m gonna stock pile it before everyone I’ve told about it buys them out!!

This really is the only tanning lotion I would ever use and ever recommend! I do mix mine with body lotion to have it last longer in gradual shades, and its beautiful. I do wish the price would be more genuine, as it is cheaper on the actual website. And really dissappointed as the last 2 times I tried ordering it here it was out of stock and I had to be refunded. I’m an amazon girl, so don’t enjoy ordering off of other websites. But please, if you’re out of stock, update your status!

Didn’t come with a pump but came with a cloth glove and rubber gloves which were more helpful than a pump. Tan is nice and golden for someone with very pale skin (usually the first or second lightest shade of foundation). It doesn’t have a strong smell. Make sure you exfoliate and put thick lotion on your knees, elbows, feet etc, because you can get a noticeable orange if you aren’t careful. And I let mine soak in overnight as long as possible. Overall I love it. Will order again.

I ordered this lotion in shade dark. The color of the lotion is very dark in color & gives an instant natural looking tan but hours later it settles a little lighter into a medium natural looking tan which i desired. It left me feeling moisturized as well. Make sure to use the gloves provided or a tanning mit or you will have to keep washing during application. It also comes with a pump which is optional and I appreciated that. I would recommend I’ve tried a lot of brands and this is one i would/will order again.

I purchased the Sun Laboratories Natural Beauty Sunless Tanner in shade Ultra Dark. I have tried countless self tanning products, spray tans and even had my own airbrush machine. I have been obsessed with achieving the perfect bronze tan for almost 2 decades and am always looking for the latest products to help me reach my goal.
I really like that this product came with a pump for easier distribution of product. Also included in the box were heart stickers and gloves. There was not an application mitt included but I would highly recommend buying one separating or using one you already have. When I tried to apply without the gloves it was pretty hard to blend and looked streaky.
The product comes out a thicker consistency but also kind of watery, the best way I can describe it is similar to a chocolate syrup. It is very wet. I really like the undertone of the formula, it applies as a nice bronze color and does not look orange at all. It does take a bit of times to blend, definitely take your time or it can apply unevenly. This is another reason why using a mitt is so important because it helps absorb some of the product making it easier to get a seamless blend.
Before applying ANY self tanner it is so important to prep properly. Make sure you shower, shave, exfoliate and moisturize. I cannot stress this enough. If you are not properly exfoliating you are going to look patchy, the product is going to pill and cling to dry spots and it’s going to look awful no matter how amazing the product is.
Some pro tips:
1. wash, shave, exfoliate, moisturize
2. Make sure your skin is completely dry before application
3. Apply Vaseline on hands, feet, elbows, knees or any areas you don’t want the product to cling to
4. When applying to face, neck and chest use a fluffy makeup brush. It will help distribute the product super evenly and keep it out of your hair line. I recommend applying it to your face in the same way you would contour for a snatched effortless look.
5. Use a mitt
6. Have a friend help you with your back.
7. When you do your hands and feet gently pat whatever product is leftover on the mitt over these areas, do not rub or apply more
Leave the product on 6-8 hours before getting wet. It ALWAYS looks better after a shower. I did not experience a weird smell with this product and I really appreciated it didn’t have the traditional “fake tan” scent. I also did not have any staining on my hands or sheets. Once I showered it was a pretty bronze color but not 100% even and that was a bit frustrating as I like to consider myself a pro. The product was not the easiest to work with and a bit messy. It is a very beautiful sun kissed tone and I will use the rest of the bottle but for the price I am not sure I will purchase this again. There are so many incredible self tanners on the market and sometimes it takes trial and error to find what works best for you.
