Andrew –
I recently purchased the Garmin Index BPM from Amazon, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The primary issue revolves around connectivity problems with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, particularly when trying to sync the device with iPhones.
Upon attempting to connect to the Wi-Fi network, a persistent “network not found error” is encountered. This problem persists across multiple iPhones, including mine and my wife’s, making it impossible to establish a stable connection. We restarted the phones, hard reset the Index BPM, restarted the connections with no success. Simultaneously, bluetooth functionality is also not working effectively, with two iPhones failing to connect successfully. Another aggravating issue is the automatic overwriting of users in the device, coupled with the forgetfulness to retain paired devices in the Garmin Connect app. This not only adds to the frustration but also diminishes the overall user experience. After many attempts and resetting the router, we were able to connect to Wifi but Bluetooth issues continued and it kept overwriting users and we were not able to add 2 users at the same time.
Despite my positive experience with the Garmin Forerunner 965, it seems that the Index devices are lacking in proper quality control of their software. The frustrating connectivity issues I’ve encountered are not isolated, as online searches reveal similar problems with other Garmin products like blood pressure monitors and smart scales, with no apparent resolutions from the company.
In conclusion, my ~$150 investment in the Garmin Index BPM has proven to be a nightmare due to its connectivity and software issues. I am left disappointed and dissatisfied with the product’s performance and would caution potential buyers to consider alternative options until Garmin addresses these recurring problems. I decided to return the same day.

I’ve used a Withings BPM for a year or so, and while it worked fine, I was always annoyed that i couldn’t get the readings to sync automatically into Garmin Connect (and I spent way too much time trying various ways to make it work, unsuccessfully). But then my wife wanted to start using it. She likes to keep things put away where they belong, which means I can never find it when I want it.
So, since i’m committed to the Garmin ecosystem (Index scale, Venu watch, Edge 530 for cycling), I decided I should just get this.
I took readings almost every morning the month before my annual physical. Then i took my report along with the device itself with me to the appointment. At the office, the reading was the same as what they took, confirming its accuracy. The reading was a bit high (as it usually is at the appointment), so I pulled out my report for the last month showing that my BP is consistently within normal range.
Really happy with the device. I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t have a rechargeable battery like the Withings. But it’s not like you have to change the batteries very often… so really not a big deal.
Bob of all trades –
I wanted an accurate blood pressure device that would log into a remote place to store the data from day to day. I already have a Garmin watch and the Garmin Connect ap, so this was a natural to try.
It works, is easy to use, and measures right with the nurse at my doctor’s office.
What more to ask?

Easy to use and connects reliably with my watch’s app. This has the ability to output a pdf 4 week chart of your blood pressure when used with the Connect app. My doctor likes it when I give her my blood pressure read out for a month to see how my meds are preforming.

Device works well and its spot on.

Getting this set up for multiple users is easy, but the instructions were not clear and it is not intuitive. That aside, this is a great product. Small enough to be easy to take wherever you go. Having the ability to print out your BP history is very helpful with the healthcare provider.
I would recommend and I would purchase again.
Purchaser –
Very pleased with this. Links with Garmin connect on my phone and I have the watch and scales. I use myfitnesspal and it links up too. Very pleased with it as it does 3 readings one minute apart and uses that

As someone who values health and wellness, I’ve found the Garmin Index Blood Pressure Monitor to be an indispensable tool on my journey. Having used it consistently for a year, I’m excited to share my experience with this impressive device.
From the moment I started using the Garmin Index Blood Pressure Monitor, I was struck by its user-friendly design. The large, easy-to-read display and intuitive controls make taking blood pressure readings a breeze, even for those less familiar with medical devices. This thoughtful design ensures that monitoring my blood pressure remains a simple and stress-free process.
Accuracy is paramount when it comes to health monitoring, and the Garmin Index Blood Pressure Monitor has consistently delivered on this front. Its advanced sensing technology provides accurate readings that I can trust. Whether I’m tracking my blood pressure in the morning, during stressful moments, or after a workout, I’m confident in the reliability of the measurements it provides.
One of the standout features of this monitor is its seamless integration with the Garmin Connect app. The ability to sync my readings with the app has been a game-changer. It allows me to effortlessly track my blood pressure trends over time, helping me gain valuable insights into my cardiovascular health. The visual representation of my data has made it easier for me to make informed decisions about my lifestyle and habits, I have had to replace the batteries a few times now, they last a while but I can say after a year of traveling with the unit, get amazon to delivery battery for it. It will warn you so you have some time to order the battery before it dies.
Over the past year, the durability of the Garmin Index Blood Pressure Monitor has also impressed me. Despite regular use, it continues to function flawlessly, a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of Garmin’s products. This longevity has made it a worthy investment for my health and well-being.
Another aspect that has made this blood pressure monitor a favorite of mine is its comfort. The cuff is adjustable and fits comfortably on my arm, ensuring accurate readings without causing discomfort or leaving marks.
The Crow –
Doesn’t check for AFIB.
Doesn’t sync to Garmin Connect as easily as watches do.
Limited functionality compared to brands dedicated to manufacturing BP machines.
