I have an Exergen, which was $$$ when I bought it years ago. It was never accurate because it wouldn’t glide smoothly over the skin. I had to remember to add some lubricant to the surface of the contact ring before use and even then it still skipped. The temps fluctuated due to loss of contact with the skin.
This one is amazing and just what we needed.
It’s very easy to use, right out of the box. I took his temp while he was asleep as soon as it was delivered. He never knew I did it. When I used the Exergen, or if I just tried to feel his forehead with my hand, would wake him up. Then he couldn’t get back to sleep.
It is extremely accurate, so far. My 7 year old can even use it himself, and he loved doing it and monitoring his numbers.
I had read lots of reviews for similar products and chose this one because of the ability to use ear mode, great reviews, visibility, memory, and warranty. The reasonable price was a bonus.

They are sending a new thermometer. I gotta tell ya, I have never had a company with customer service so attentive. Very pleasant and easy to deal with. I have reversed my 1 star to a 5 star. Just the customer service alone is worth those 5 stars
I received this yesterday thinking it would be great. I have three other thermometer at home and this by far is the worst. Temperature is not accurate on either the ear no forehead. I love the packaging and storage other wise would have given a no star . I am disappointed

Very easy to use, good quality material. Comes in a sturdy case. I really like that you can use on forehead and ear. When you replace the piece to use ear mode it clicks on like magnet so at least I believe that piece won’t fall off and get lost. I am using this inna medical office and really like it.
