I despise the baby locks that you have to push super hard on or twist “just right” to open. These are quick and friendly baby locks, easy to install and with an added lock protection. I installed them on our sailboat so I can’t attest to their ability to prevent baby hands from unclipping them, but for keeping doors and drawers closed when they should be – it works great!

I like these for my baby but my 2&3 year old knew how to open it the first time they tried. Bottom part is broken. So only the top locks (had for about a month)

It’s a pretty solid design, and it seems to hold up to my toddler pulling on the cabinets (so far). My only criticism is that the adjustable straps are a bit stiff and rigid to set. It may be designed that way so it’s durable and won’t slip, and it may be a personal problem that I can’t adjust it.

At first these seemed great. The adhesive is really good. My 1 year old was getting frustrated that he could no longer open the tv unit doors so it was doing the job well. Fast forward a few weeks later and yep he’s figured out how to pull out the flap bit. I think it would work better if there was the button feature on both ends rather than the flap you have to slide through the slot. I now have to spend more money and buy a different product so I would not recommend. I gave it two stars purely for the adhesive.

I initially purchased some other strap-style cabinet safety locks when my toddler started learning how to open things. And they worked – but they were a total pain to open! They were the kind that came with a little indent type mechanism on the front of the locking part, and you had to slide that button to release the lock. But I often ended up having to use a fingernail on the inside edge to get it to slide, because no traction for wet or greasy fingers (and I was mostly using these in the kitchen, so…) I also had to deal with the strap getting shut in the door when the cabinets got closed. Same issue with drawers. Had the same kind on my diaper changing station drawers, and it made it tough to open while already dealing with squirming little one, and then got stuck in the drawer when closing.
THIS product, on the other hand, was a game changer. The two buttons on the outer edges of the locking mechanism are super easy to press, making it much, much easier to open. And the swivel function on the strap means that it swings down and out of the way when you open the cabinet, so no more straps getting caught in the doors/drawers when shutting. This was one of those products that isn’t glamorous or exciting, but it made me SO happy because it eliminated some of my everyday struggles. They are a tiny bit pricier than the kind I originally purchased, but very much worth those few dollars, in my opinion.
