So far, so great! This has really helped burn up some energy from my Yorkie. She can’t get enough of it. The squeaking sound is a bit much, but still a great toy. Seems durable. I wouldn’t recommend for puppies with their sharp baby teeth, as the cord and toy would probably not survive.

My cat LOVES this toy. It chirps whenever it moves and unlike feather-only toys, the little bird at the end gives my cat something to bite down on. She likes to carry it around after she “gets” it. I’ve had the toy a few months now and the chirping is still going strong (for better or for worse haha). Great little toy.

It’s a cute toy, but it’s already broken and it’s partly my fault and partly my dumb cat’s fault.
First, I did not read the description of the toy closely. My bad. I didn’t know it made mouse noises. Although somewhat realistic, it can become annoying quickly. Just a head’s up to others.
Secondly, my cat likes to eat stringy things – yarn, fringe, etc. But I didn’t consider that the string on this toy would attract him. But he was playing with it on his own for the first time and 5 minutes later I look down and a portion of the cord is gone. Again, my bad. But, dayum, cat – you’re going to give yourself a bowel obstruction someday.
But now that we “cut the cord”, he is joyfully playing with the mouse as I type! Maybe the maker could come up with a cord that isn’t so easy to chew through? We’ve had other toys like this and this is the first time he’s been able to eat the cord.

My cats like it but the squeaking is really annoying and it squeaks constantly… you just have to touch it and it squeaks lol. My cats prefer ‘da bird’ toy more.

This type of toy is one of my favourites for two types of active play with my cats and foster cats: 1. Running around the house with it trailing and swerving so they chase it. 2. Having it dart back and forth while I watch TV and give them a work out. Either way, it keeps cats active and many like it. However this particular brand came apart (the string broke apart from the wand) with rambunctious play after about a week. The thick cord which runs through the wand is not actually secured very well inside that wand. It needs to be more sturdily constructed – because rambunctious play is expected. Also, it squeaks too easily (as compared to our other squeaky mice). The cat pulled the feathers off the back of it in about 5 minutes of normal play – and this was not leaving the item within reach.

I bought this for my cat who was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. I’m trying to get her engaged in play. She loves this toy, but mine was received defective. This is supposed to squeak. You’re supposed to pull the clear tab out to engage it and use it. There is no tab to be had on this toy. I watched the little video to see if I was missing something and it looks like it’s supposed to be on the mouse’s back. There is no such thing on our mouse, just a slightly split seam where I think it should have been. Extremely disappointed because I don’t want to waste any of my cat’s limited time waiting on a return and exchange for something that’s caught her attention. Just wanted anyone else to be aware.

I purchased a second one just in case the first one ever breaks. My two cats are really rough with any toy that hangs, so I’m super pleased that it’s been holding out! Recently we got a new puppy so it did some considerable damage to the poor mouse. The string is tough and can withstand their teeth!!! It makes these cute squeaky sounds when it gets knocked around, and my cats go crazy. Totally worth every penny!

Our two kittens love love love this toy. Our kittys are not declawed which make if funner for them. We spend hours a day playing with this toy. We have to keep their napping schedule in mind not to wear them out. They also play with it by themselves. When we are watching TV we can hear the squeak squeak constantly. They’ve had it for a week now and they’re not tired of it! The toy itself shows no wear or tear except for two feathers that came off, but that did not change the fun or quality of the toy at all. We love this toy so much we are getting a back up just in case! LOL

I have bought two of these so far. I’m giving it a 3 star rating only because the second one I purchased does not squeak at all! It arrived with a dead battery.
Other than that, it’s a great toy. The rope is thick enough that my cat won’t hurt himself playing with it, and he goes crazy for the squeaks (when they work).
