They first time I bought this product and set up the whole tank exactly how I wanted it and when I went to add the filter pump it did not work at all. There was no way to contact support to get just a new filter pump replacement so I went ahead and put in a return request to swap out the pump filter. Thank goodness I’m not needing the tank however because apon opening the box of the second tank I received it is completely shattered. The pump issue is definitely on the company’s while the broken tank may simply be due to the Amazon company and or driver. Overall it’s been a disappointing experience.

It’s a cool tank and all but the sponges where not sized correctly. I wish there could be some sort of mesh to cover the filtration openings. It says on the instructions that the top opening does not need a sponge but I had a two shrimps and a fish go in. I had to put one of the sponge to cover the top opening and one in the bottom. Since gravity pushes the water through the sponges sometimes the pump goes way faster that the water gets to it. The light is pretty cool and the tank looks pretty clean.

September 13, 2023 update:
It’s nice to see that the seller does read the reviews. I noticed the product page has been updated to clarify things that weren’t made clear when I ordered it. Although, I’m disappointed they gloss over that it’s basically a 4 gallon aquarium with an integrated 1 gallon filtration system.
I ended up replacing the light with a pair of higher output full spectrum plant lights. Added an acrylic lid to help with evaporation control as well as keeping a Betta fish from jumping when I eventually add one. The filtration, I had to do my own customization. The included 3 blue sponge pieces, I used them but added other better ones too for more rounded graduated mechanical filtration. The included bio-media didn’t get used, replaced with better bio-media in higher quantity, roughly about 10 times the amount filling the 2 largest chambers. The water return pump, I shorten the hose by half for room to put water polishing pads.
As much of the chambers as possible were used to maximize filtration capacity. The DIY setup has roughly the filtration capacity of what you would find in a typical 20 gallon aquarium. Final part was to put black foam at the top of the chamber for aesthetics and also to keep light from the filter chambers to avoid algae growth there.

Tank itself seems to be well made, heavy and solid feeling. Leveling mat already pre-applied to the bottom of the glass panel. Given the volume of water it will be holding, the glass seems over engineered, this thickness of glass I usually see in standard 20 to 29 gallon aquariums. The glass is very clear though I’m not certain if it’s low iron glass, it’s not specifically mentioned on the product page and I can still see a fair amount of green tint on the glass edges.
The included LED light is sufficient for the tank though they seem a little too dim for live plants. Included water return pump seems cheap but should be fine while the included filter media doesn’t look anything like the product photos. The sponges are far too small and don’t fill the filter chamber and the bio-media is unimpressive. I’ll have to find my own solutions. You’re basically buying this for the tank itself, the accessories are pretty basic and unimpressive and you’ll probably end up replacing it with better gear if you plan to use this for live fish and/or live plants.
The product page is a bit misleading. The photo states a tank dimension of 13.9″ wide by 13.9″ front to back by 13.7 inches tall. The text description states the dimensions as 11.81″ wide by 11.81 ” front to back by 10.63″ high. The text description is the correct dimensions. The display part of the tank has a water volume of 11.25″ wide by 8.5 inches front to back by a fill depth of about 10 inches, which gives a display water volume of a touch over 4 gallons. The filter chamber is a little under 1 gallon of water. While technically a 5 gallon aquarium, almost a gallon of it is the filter chamber.
Given the size, this tank is a touch too small for live plants and live fish if you intend to use it as shipped. Even a single Betta fish might be too much, unless you want to do frequent (daily or every other day) maintenance or what I’ll probably end up doing is upgrade and augment the filtration in order to keep live plants and a single Betta fish. This would make an excellent shrimp colony tank though if you want to use this tank kit as is.

This tank is amazing quality and ALL glass construction! Even has a leveling matt on the bottom! The rear glass in the tank and all the dividers for the AIO are tinted glass and heavy duty construction. I am impressed after looking at many Pico aquariums at many shops and online.
Upgrades included a glass top by Landen that fits the front portion of the main tank perfectly (LANDEN 4mm Thick Clear Glass Aquarium Lid, Includes 4 Clips for Secure Placement, 282 x 225mm(11.1×8.86 inches) B0BR7Y2GJF). Also, eventually upgraded the light to a HME 2S Cetus2 just to have the 24/7 and adjustment capability. The provided light worked well but was only a manual control, which the corals did well with. I put it on a Tapo wifi timer that cycled the tank on at 7am and off at 4 pm which worked well. Added a heater in the back also, which rarely comes on once stabilized.
Keeping corals, I also upgraded to the HOB 1.5 Protein Skimmer, which allows me to keep the harder to grow corals. I highly recommend this Pico tank. As you can see from the pictures, it is a solid competitor! The corals, inverts and I are very happy with this setup! Thank you for providing such a great product! This setup is my office treasure!

Only drawback is no lid, but I went and bought a cheap picture frame and some cover clips.
