Pig Pig the Guinea Pig gives 5 star, 2 thumbs and lots of squeals over this! Only issue is it’s a little dusty.. I’ve only bought this 2 times, this is my second time around, first box lasted us well over 2 months. This second box was a little moist feeling and the top layer was a little brown and old looking but overall so far my pig loves it!
This seems to be better quality than Walmart’s Hay and it last WAY longer even though both are the same amount/weight. Walmart brand is always full of moss, (Spanish Moss) and its literally left over junk but was cheaper than Tractor Supply at the time. Now that I found this, I don’t plan to go back to Walmart OR Tractor Supply ($25+ for 6lbs!)

Thank you @eatonpetandpasture for your awesome Timothy hay! Eaton Pet and Pasture Timothy Hay is Cookie’s favorite hay. She loves eating it, and a bonus as a BunMom is that the hay creates those infamous golden bunny poops!
This is the only hay that she will eat every last drop of, and the only hay that doesn’t give her darker (less healthy) poops!

Ive ordered the oxbow 9lb off amazon a few times. Quality has been getting poor. Lots of brown hay and some moths. Eaton pet has better quality hay. Healtheir for my rabbits digestion. I would recommended giving Eaton Pet a try.

We just got our rabbit and after some research we purchased Timothy Hay with high hopes….It did not disappoint and Fredrick is one happy bunny. The hay was packaged nicely and looked fresh.

Long stiff stalks, fresh cut, and my bunny tore into the box.
The next two boxes were like this video… Limp pieces of what looks like cast off, and dust. So disappointing.
I’d love to hear back from the vendor on the dramatic variation in quality, because unless something changes I won’t be ordering again.

I have Guinea pigs and they love to forage through hay picking out the pieces they like and sleeping on the rest. I previously bought a different brand and they ate most of it and made a nice bed of the leftover. It is always very easy to dispose of the old hay and replace with new hay. Unfortunately, the other brand was out of stock so I bought this. This hay has way too many long pieces of straw that my Guinea pigs don’t eat. Plus, how it is boxed in sheets make it very hard to use without hay flying everywhere. The long straw is really hard to clean up and ends up all over the cage and room. I won’t buy this brand again.

Purchased 1x last year and it was decent quality. Switched to small pet select. Went back to this brand bc it was fastest delivery, and total junk. Yucky hard, brown, junk. Most goes in the trash bunny wont eat it.

So far, this brand has not disappointed me. My chinchilla and holland lop love the sturdiness of this first cut with plenty of nutrition on them. While I do not eat hay ( lol) I can tell they give this brand a repetitive paws up and they go to town once i give them a bundle . Looks very healthy ( no brown pieces ) and packed nicely in a reusable box that looks nice among their other cage supplies and food. I use to have to place on a better looking container with holes but it is nice not having to worry about it. It is a good idea to open the box right so to keep it stored once closed. These guys are high maintenance cage cleaners and supplies so every little bit helps !
