JEFF LUNSFORD –
Not only Woodpeckers, but ALL the birds like it.

This is large than your regular suet cake and won’t fit in the little green suet holders but you can place it on ground near the feeder or if you have a contraption that will hold it and birds won’t mind at all as they happily much away.

Good seed cakes for woodpeckers and other birds. The cakes stay together fairly well, unlike some brands where a portion of the seeds have fallen off the cake even before the package is opened. This 6-pack is usually more economical to buy than buying the cakes individually.
Billyjobob –
This product is excellent in attracting not only woodpeckers but also cardinals and blue jays

It’s a good price for the product. It always arrives busted up. The shipping package is either too small or one of those soft packages. It’s a shame.

Given the size of the block of food, I thought it would last awhile with the two squirrels I have in my yard. It lasted 2 days! These cute little guys were busy. They dug holes and deposited a lot of it for the winter. Since I didn’t secure the block and just set it on a tree branch, it was knocked to the ground quickly. I ordered a second on and drilled a hole into the center. I hung it from the tree, we will see how long this one lasts. If it’s gone in two days again, I will wait until the dead of winter to order a third. I just enjoy watching the squirrels work. They’ve even started coming up on my porch while I’m sitting there. I guess they realize I’m no threat. Both my grandmother and I each had a squirrel (at different times) who would come up to us.
My grandmothers squirrel scratched on her side door every afternoon at 4pm. She gave her a cookie which she ate on the spot and took a second one back to her nest. I’ve had hours of enjoyment watching the squirrels and birds in my yard.
ADD: After purchasing the second block of good, I noticed the corn was scattered on the ground possibly signifying it is not liked as much.

Squirrels absolutely love this product and I have caught so many of them so they can be ‘relocated’ out of my yard so they aren’t getting in my garden or eating my outdoor light wires (yes, they do eat the wires).
