The way this comes together is with these stupid rubber loops over the ends of interconnecting pieces. I would have loved to see something a little more sturdy or even water proof-able considering this is being advertised for the like of frogs, turtles, and hermit crabs.
As is this is basically only good for small insects and that’s it. But it _does_ look like it’ll be pretty good for small insects.

Initially, I was pretty upset because the airholes pictured aren’t what I received. The enclosure sent to me has large slots. That said I decided to not return it and put it together to see if it would be usable since my female jumper is getting ready to lay an egg sack. I have decided that I can put mesh over the slots. Once that is done this looks pretty escape proof. I’ll be ordering more.

I’m very picky when it comes to products for my spoods. My main issue with this type of enclosure is most have a large gap in the bottom when you open them, from the door swinging open. This one doesn’t have the same issue. The ventilation could be better, I’d like to have seen at least one more row, but its nicely sized for an adult jumper. The door latch could benefit from a magnet on the top, but it feels fairly sturdy.
My only complaint was no instructions. I’ve assembled ones like this before, so I knew how, but if this was your first one, I can see it being a struggle to figure out.
I wouldn’t use this for a bioactive, its not water tight, but jumpers don’t really need those.
Overall I feel this is a safe enclosure for most species of medium to large jumpers, particularly P. Audax or P. Regius.

You can’t see through this cheaply made thing. The description shows clear acrylic-this is frosted. Now I have a spider arriving tomorrow and have to use it until I get something else so I cannot even return.

Nice for the price! Would work for spiderlings with slight modification. I wouldn’t reccomend this size terrerium for spiderlings necessarily though, as I hear to much space makes it hard for them to catch food. My daughter found a jumping spider baby in the house and decided to keep it. So I put him in an old plastic container and poked some holes with a thumbtack and then spent weeks trying to find an enclosure that would work, to no avail. I eventually ended up spending upwards of $30 for a soda can sized spiderling enclosure from a tarantula store. While it’s amazing, I wasn’t quite looking to spend that much on something we wouldn’t be using long. All the terreriums I found had a gap under the door. If you have ever seen a spiderling you know how tiny they are. I am pleased to say this doesn’t have a gap! I was pretty surprised to be honest. That being said, I would still be careful and mod it for tiny spiderlings if using it for that, (again not the best size for them but if you had a hard time like me it may have to due, or if just hatching and transfering to cups) as the hinge holes on this terrerium are large enough a spiderling could escape. You could solve this by placing a toothpick or something in the hole as long as you remembered to remove it before opening. Or just simply tape something to the inside to help cover it. Whatever works! The air holes are pretty small as well but may still be a tad to big for very tiny spiderlings in which case you would need netting or something to cover them. For medium and large size jumping spiders this is great! As long as they don’t build their nest against the door.
Despite all the spider talk I actually picked this up because my daughter wanted to keep a hornworm and watch it’s life cycle. Granted I will probably move my “teen” jumping spider to this when the hornworm is done with it.
NOTE: IT COMES WITH A PROTECTIVE FILM. IT IS NOT FROSTED. Make sure you remove it before assembly.
It is very clear and allows for great visibility. Just note that it scratches very easily so be careful adding decor.
Overall I reccomend it! I deducted a star only because it does not come with instructions/directions. I only knew how to put it together because of how many reviews I watched while trying to find a spiderling enclosure. If you have never put one together you may find it confusing. It’s not to hard to figure out but you can easily get pieces turned the wrong way if you aren’t paying attention. It comes with two pins for the latch but you only need one. One is an extra, to attach it just push down and it will click into place. It also comes with extra o rings which go on the outside and keep the walls together. Make sure when putting the sides on that the Vents are near the top and the holes near the bottom for the door attachment.

I bought this terrarium to put some plants and a small turtle. It is made of good quality plastic and good one for beginners. Will update pics after adding plants soon

Easy to put together, no instructions but I honestly didn’t think any were needed. Only one spot of concern but it can be taken care of with tape, and that’s the little holes where the front open lid latches to on the sides. But other than that it is great and I love the rubber bands they give you to hold the acrylic in place and it covers any gap it had! Can’t wait to put my jumping spider in it!

So the quality is pretty good for the price.disregard the frosted look it still has the protection film on. The holes are small but not too small for airflow. Very sturdy doesn’t bend or twist. Definitely worth buying for jumping spiders or even small tarantulas.
