I wanted this to make a rock terrarium for my 3 year old granddaughter and it was the best purchase! It’s her very first and I wanted to teach her a little about caring for something so we are starting out slow with a moss rock garden. The acrylic is excellent quality the top slides on and off and the magnetic buttons hold it perfectly. I am beyond happy with this purchase!!

I bought this for a tarantula and there is a big 1″x 0.25″ long gap. It’s big enough that anything small enough to live in here can easily escape. I put clear tape over it and now it’s great. Love the magnets!

This is a really nice but small enclosure. It is not a reptile terrarium though, they lose one star for marketing it as that. Some of the animals in their pictures wouldn’t even physically fit in the terrarium. At best you could use it as an extremely temporary enclosure for a small reptile, or maybe to hold a baby for a very short time. A terrarium of this size is for invertebrates and even a lot of those are going to need more space than this can provide.
All of that said, if you purchase this for an animal that actually belongs in it then it is pretty good. It has a decent amount of ventilation, the bottom is watertight so you can keep the substrate moist and the lid is held on magnetically so it’s easy to remove but doesn’t fall off.
There is one big caveat with this terrarium though, the holes are big enough that a lot of the animals small enough to live in this thing could escape if they are good at climbing. The biggest culprit is the big cutout on the top intended to be a handle, all sorts of things could get in and out through that giant rectangle. And even if they can’t climb out, it’s so big that full grown flies could get in and be a nuisance. Even the smaller holes are big enough that something like a small jumping spider or a young isopod could escape through them. So depending on what you keep in it, maybe plan on putting a mesh over all the holes.

had a broken corner, smaller than expected , no latch and there is an empty hole where the latch would be.
