I use this for my ferrets, dogs and cat when they are sick and will not eat. My vet Recommend it. It is a bit pricey. But it works. When ferret is sick use a syringe feeder. I mix the powder with water. Mix it like you were making pan cake batter. Motto thick not to thin. It’s easy to mix and get lumps out of it. You must keep the powder in the refrigerator after you have open it. I usually make up 1 to 2 ounces at a time. What you don’t use Seal it up in a bowl and put in the refrigerate. When ready to use it again set it out so you can get it to just about room temperature. They don’t like ice cold food. I give my ferret 1 to 3mls a feeding just depends how many times a day you give it to your furry baby. If I do it every few hours then 1 to 2 mls . If you do it 3 to 4 hour give 2 to 3 mls. But is best to ask your vet for your ferret. At first my ferrets did not like it. I let them try it out when they were not sick to get used to it. That way it’s less of a fight when they are sick. Some of my ferrets love it a few hate it. But when they are sick. They need the protine to keep up their Strength. A ferret can go down hill real fast if they don’t eat. You can buy it in many different sizes and will last a long long time in the refrigerator. Best to always have on hand. Do to you can’t get it at a snap of a finger.

I purchased this for a rescue bearded dragon I’m currently rehabbing — he’s my first dragon, so I’m using this on a recommendation from a reptile expert. I’ve only been using it for two days, so I’m not certain of any health/energy/growth benefits, but the lizard certainly enjoys eating it, and where I usually have to trick him into eating anything but the other paste I tried, he comes out of his tank at feedings already smacking his lips. It has definitely helped me to put a little weight on him…but I can’t say whether it’s growth or because he’s actually eating something. My only concern is that the packaging says to discard after a week in the fridge, but I won’t use it that fast so I’ve been storing it in the freezer, and letting each measurement of the powder come to room temperature before mixing. I will definitely update as my usage progresses.
UPDATE: 1 week after purchase
I have been feeding my beardie this food for about one week now. I prep 2 or more cc in a syringe, and I go through the whole thing throughout the day…I supplement with Flukers repta-boost as it has more water when mixed. HOWEVER, this food has definitely perked my bearded dragon up. Before he was mopey and unwell, rarely ate a lot, and didn’t move around the cage. With the new food, he has not stopped running around his enclosure all morning, and when I took him out to feed him he ate much more than he normally does in the morning, and then proceeded to run about my bed, and jump from my hands, and and climb all over. I would absolutely say that this food has been great for helping this little guy get well.

I will say if you give the full dose to a ferret for the first time. They will normally have the runs everywhere. But I still stand by this product. Because I knew from my experience that only one scoop was great with her Oxbow marshals, crunch mix and it goes down perfectly!

Suplemento para carnivoros, ideal para alimentar cuando estan enfermos ya que se puede dar con jeringa. Yo lo he utilizado con todos mis hurones y era un alivio cuando no habia manera de meterles comida.

This stuff works great for reviving a lethargic reptile or just as a calorie booster . It breaks down fast and easy in water so you can make it as thick or thin as you like . It has really no smell when freshly made, But DO NOT let it get wet and sit . It smells like dead rotting meat .

my vet recommended this when my savannah monitor had parisites and refused to eat and was the only thing she would eat for almost two weeks. my cat also was very insistent she got some every-time i made it. has a potent smell but is a small price to pay for the results.

After my rat was diagnosed with diabetes, we began trying to stabilize him through diet as insulin wasn’t an option. We struggled greatly to find foods he could and would eat that didn’t worsen his symptoms and he ended up in ketoacidosis within a few months. He soon stopped eating and began to decline rapidly without any signs of improvement, so much so that we booked an appointment for euthanasia. The appointment was a day away and we decided to try carefully hand feeding critical care carnivore just to get him through. Over the course of the day he began improving to the point that we cancelled his appointment an hour before we were scheduled to bring him in and continued gently hand feeding 5-7 times/day to see if we would keep seeing improvements. Within a week he began eating from the syringe on his own and eventually started eating green veggies, nuts, chicken, etc. as well. We have been continuing to hand feed critical care carnivore multiple times/day for the last four months (he’ll only eat it from a syringe now even though he eats everything else independently, we suspect it’s because he enjoys the snuggles that go along with it) and he has been doing so well. His water intake and energy levels have stabilized, he is keeping healthy weight on, and he is as lively as he was before he got sick. Critical care carnivore saved his life and is giving us so much extra quality time with him that I will always be grateful for. Diabetes in rats is relatively uncommon and treatment options are limited. In our experience using this product as a staple in his diabetic-safe diet has been the key to stabilizing his condition and achieving good quality of life.

Used for my frog for red leg. Was crucial in her recovery.

My kitty will be 18 next month. Not entirely sure if she will make it. She has reduced her eating and drinking, and it quite frail. Wanting to make sure that she is taking in enough water and nutrition, I began looking for a supplement. A geriatric cat group I am in recommended this. I didn’t know much about it when I purchased it other than it looked like a complete nutrition item, and that it could be given to them to lap up or perhaps dropper fed. Figured it was worth trying.
My order arrived- somehow- within 24 hours. I’m writing this review a day after receiving it. As soon as I got it, I prepared a dish for my baby girl, Kayla. It reminded me of the broth powders and powdered milks I buy my cats and dogs on occasion: just combine the powder with some water. Add more or less water depending on what you need.
She dove right in! I was nearly in tears seeing her taking in nutrition and water. I gave her as much as she wanted, and it was amazing to watch her ingest this product. She is already extremely picky, and I have all sorts of wet foods, baby foods, and other foods for her– but she has been not happy with anything. I also noticed she hadn’t been drinking like she was. She’d go up to the water bowl but not drink. So to see her EAT AND DRINK, I felt so much better. I don’t know what is in store for her in coming days, but right now I am glad to have this product.
So whatever this is, it was appealing to her.
I have already ordered 2 more bags because this doesn’t make that much. I think I am already through half the bag.
1 TBS = 4 grams. This 70 gram bag contains 17.5 servings.
24 calories per Tablespoon
My girl is in the 4-5 pound range, so that would put her in the 6 tablespoons a day recommendation. So 3 day supply? More or less depending on her appetite and what else she may eat. Also, she has a litter mate brother who IS eating and drinking ok, yet still finds his way over to her bowl of this. He likes a few laps then walks away. Figure it is good for him to have it too.
I am mentioning this as a way to help you decide how much to get.

My ferret has been relying on Carnivore Care for about a year now, and what a difference it’s made.
I lucked out finding this seller’s page with a 340g bag that is fairly consistently in stock. I ordered two bags that unfortunately got lost in transit, but the seller was in constant communication with me and was so helpful in sending out replacements that came far faster than I was anticipating.
If you are looking for healthy solutions for your pet or great customer service, you have to choose this seller.
