I got this for my 17 year old iguana who has been suffering with her respiratory system. It is not a cure but helps make a difference. I saw immediate alertness and her appetite did increase
Raven Lady –
My snake did not respond to four different courses of antibiotic after having a severe respiratory infection. I tried Reptaid and she responded. She needed 2 times 10 days, but it did the trick! Fantastic stuff!

First off my leopard gecko hates this stuff… but it did help save her life and we had a hell of a time getting it in her but it did its job with repeated use it brought her back from the brink of death…
My little lady Leo Wendy hates the stuff, she really really does not like taking it… with that said I do think this with a couple other things saved her life…
Our adult female leopard gecko Wendy had a bad shed, and in trying to get the stuck shed skin off her tail she chewed a big gash in it, that quickly got infected, one morning after that I found her almost near death, she had just laid down to let herself die in her cold moist hide and she was as cold as ice and was almost dead, I ordered this and a box of repta-boost and some other stuff with overnight shipping, and started doing anything I could to help her, but she was so sick and the tail infection was so bad she just wanted to let go and die, once I started with reptaid and soaking her tail in medicated warm water and then using Neosporin on the wounded tail, and other stuff to first of all help her system fight the infection and then a high protein and high fat diet change to build strength and put on weight, we needed the repta-boost to get any nutrition into her and try to spur her to eat, and within a few days she started showing signs of improvement, she lost about a half of an inch off the end of her tail which mostly grew back when it healed, but after using reptaid and repta-boost with the other stuff she’s doing very well, it’s over a year now and she’s doing very well and is healthy and happy, I still give her this stuff every few weeks to every couple months just to help her stay healthy and keep parasites to a minimum in her system and it seems to work pretty good, but she does hate it and fights me the whole time while trying to get her to take it, I have to load over a dose into the syringe because she spits it out and shakes her head hard to get it off her mouth so she doesn’t have to take it but enough remains and she has to lick it off one way or another, she will also try to rub it off her mouth onto the paper towel or my hand to try and keep from licking it off her mouth, so she doesn’t like it, but it did help save her so we try to get her to take it still, I need a new bottle because it is old now, but this stuff helped save our Wendy girl and she was able recover from almost death, I’ll keep it on hand always if I can, and use it for our crested gecko too, we now have a new baby girl hatchling leopard gecko so she will be getting on a dose every now and then too…
If you have a sick gecko (I can’t speak for other types of reptiles because I don’t own any other besides the two Leo’s and a crested gecko) but it did help save our Wendy who we truly love and adore and it was heartbreaking to see her just lay down and stop fighting the illness and pain to die, and I did everything I could to save her and would do it again

I have a bearded dragon with the ADENO virus and this helps to boost her it does exactly what it says great help to my already bulging Meds box

I bought this for my blue tongued skink who was battling a bit of mouthrot. It does work well when consistent – BUT he HATES it, I mean HATES it. It smells very strong so I imagine it tastes horrid. So much so that yesterday he bit right through and crushed the glass dropper. (I panicked but I got all the glass out of his mouth before he ingested it or was impaled.) Next time, I will offer him his favorite treat and drop it in when he opens his mouth. I just wanted to share this experience for those who may not be as lucky to get the glass out quickly should their reptile care to show off their powerful jaws….

I honestly couldn’t rate this product any higher, whether your reptile is in good health or in need of a nudge this is very handy to have in case of an emergency.. it should be called miracle aid. 🙂

Nothin’ fantastic. Used it on my gecko, and while it did increase his appetite, it didn’t improve him. My gecko was not sick but off his feed, so this did help. However, do not expect it be a cure all to pinworms and other nasties. In the end it is always best to take your pet to the vet.

Before I start my review I would like to state that I am not a professional, nor do I claim to be. I am simply an animal lover that wants the best for my pets! I ALWAYS recommend going to a reputable exotic vet, or at the very least an experienced breeder when your reptile is having health issues. Unfortunately, I know of no breeders in my area, and the only exotic vet in my town is AWFUL, and actually made my leo’s illness worse several years back due to the poor handling and stress.
That being said, I think this product is fabulous for mild illness, especially if you don’t have access to a good vet or breeder like I do. I live in a humid area that is also cold in the spring, which sadly makes my poor leo prone to mild respiratory problems this time of year. She’s still active and not loosing weight, but hasn’t eaten for two months (even silkies, her favorite!) which just unsettles me. I’ve tried the Zilla appetite stimulant/supplement, which she flat out refused. I also tried making a homemade mix of mashed insects and baby food, but she inevitably got some in her nostrils wiping her nose around, which I think just made it worse; even on a good day she’d never eat enough to really supplement a meal. I was skeptical of this all natural voodoo stuff, but I’ve always heard good things so figured I’d give it a shot. We’re on day 3 of ten, but so far so good! She ate a silkie tonight, and generally seems more bright eyed. I will update in a week to let you know if we have further success!
If you’ve never given meds to a leo, for me the easiest way is to angle the syringe with the tip pointing up in front of your gecko’s snout. -Very- lightly press, pushing out the liquid one drop at a time. If you press too hard, which really isn’t very hard at all, it will all come out at once and be wasted! If you have a larger reptile, like a beardie, you can probably stick the syringe tip in their mouth and give the full dose in one go, but I’ve never had that work on my gecko, she’s too quick! Leos will generally lick up the bead as it touches their snout, so it’s still fairly simple. I have a fairly large female that weighs 66 g, and I stick with the .05 ml application. The other great thing about this stuff is that the dosage is so small, it’s quick and easy and doesn’t put undue stress on your animal. Last time my leo was sick, I had to give her .5 ml antibiotics (10 times as much) for 10 days; it could easily take 30 minutes to an hour on a bad day, and just stressed her out so much. She doesn’t object to this at all, takes probably a minute or two max! Always wash your syringe after use. I’d recommend a fresh one for the next time you use it, and obviously separate syringes if you have multiple reptiles that need it.
I hope your pet will soon be on its way to good health!
Update 06/1/14
My gecko finished the first 10 days of treatment; it’s now been several additional days, and she’s been consistently eating every other day like she used to! She’s definitely much perkier and bright eyes as well, and I no longer here the slight ‘click’ when she breaths that indicates an RI. I decided not to continue the treatment (directions recommend 10 days on, 2 off, then another 10 days) because it seemed unnecessary! I’m happy I found this product, and would highly recommend it under the conditions I listed in my original review!

Great stuff! My little beardie wasn’t ill but he did have a nasty case of pinworms . two ten day treatments (two day break in between) and the count went down significantly! His poops were much more well formed and digestive issues solved. I recommend this as a maintenance method as well (give for two days at the beginning of each month). Will definitely increase appetite. Only reason I gave 4 starts was because It said you would get a needle to inject the feeders with the reptaid but I did not recieve one. Only a regular syringe which wasn’t bad because I had no issues administering it orally. However , if you have a reptile that refuses it orally and locks their jaw I would look I to getting a needle from a drug store. Other than that I’m completely satisfied!
