A week ago I downloaded Ubuntu onto my laptop to be dual boot with Windows 10. I tried to delete Ubuntu from the partition without removing the Ubuntu boot, because I didn’t know what I was doing. What happened was my computer was trying to access Ubuntu, because it still had the boot but didn’t have the OS. This prevented me from accessing Windows 10. I tried downloading Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft website on to a USB drive and re-install Windows 10 that way, but it didn’t work. I got frustrated and thought about just buying a new computer, but that would cost me a few hundred bucks.
Instead, I searched Amazon for Windows 10 boot CDs and bought this one for 13 bucks. The re-installation process took about 3.5 hours total. The longest process was when it says “Getting Ready” with the spinning icon, and it took about 3 hours. You have too look at the hard drive LED indicator. If it’s blinking or turned on, then that means the hard drive is adding / deleting stuff. So don’t turn off your computer. If it take longer than 4 hours, then there might be issues.
I can access my old programs in the C drive (e.g. games and software that I installed previously), but everything on the Desktop (resumes, Word/Excel documents, pictures) was wiped out.

If you want to get your computer up and running again, get this. I went to a place on line and brought a $35.00 restore usb from another company, kept getting a red screen, nothing worked, worked on it for days on end. I emailed company several times, asking for a replacement, they said work with tech support, tech support said it was the machine even though I put in a new hard drive, never got a replacement or refund ….brought this and within 1 1/2 hours my daughters computer was up and running!! I then used it to upgrade my own tower, the 2017 drivers are a definate plus!! Very good product for the incredibly small amount they they charge.

Thank you for the delivery, though I know I might’ve been a pain for canceling and reordering like twice. This cd worked for me and brought my computer back to life. I had to watch a few YouTube videos and struggled a bit to figure it out, but it actually worked and I didn’t have to put in the Product key either because of having it preinstalled when I first got my desktop.
Note: For anyone out there considering to buy, if you purchase it, you might have some issues with your drivers and get an error. That’s how it was with me. I needed to switched from MBR partition to GPT partition, but after that, it installed just fine. Hope it helps. Best wishes!

My old Dell XPS 9000 from 2009 was free upgraded to Windows 10 Home 64bit from OEM Windows 7. Everything worked fine until Mar. 2018 when Windows startup and processes became extremely slow (30+ minutes to start and load desktop, and start processes and programs). I’ve already moved most of my important files to a new Dell PC but thought about restoring Windows functionality with the old Dell PC as a backup.
This Disc is easy to use: press F12 during startup and it boots from the CD/DVD ROM. HOWEVER, none of the restore, repair, or reinstall functions work on this disc for my old Dell PC. Will only get “This option is not supported on the operating system you’ve selected.”
Not entirely this rescue disc’s fault but apparently Microsoft has planned obsolescence for older PCs that were free upgraded to Windows 10. This disc was returned.

Oh my, this worked! I have a win 8 that got upgraded online to Win10 back when it was free. That worked for a while fut after a few updates it just wouldnt work. It would reboot in a neverending loop. This computer has been off for over a year. It’s a built-from-scratch system that was top of the line so I was sad to see it as messed up as it has been. Well, I popped in this baby and it fired right up! I almost cried! I just hope it holds….. so glad i bought this ♡♡

I did step by step like the see through instructions said and only on my 1st try I got to a screen asking to put in a 4 digit code to verify that I wanted to run this disc that also had a website link to click on but no mouse cursor around.
First of all, what is the point of the code?
Because it made it impossible to do anything, even the code.
I put the code in but all it did was restart the computer and back to where I started.
I never seen any update, install, restore, repair, installation, or anything but the 4 digit code and ESC to escape.
After it failed I tried over and over trying to get it to show back up but had zero luck.
Apparently you only get one use only.
Very disappointed again having to put another computer in the shop paying hundreds of dollars to fix it.
$15 well wasted that I could of used on taking it in.
I mean come on, I’m sure everyone seen the blue screens before but show no pictures of the first screen and what to do to get past it and only one chance to use the disc.
Very annoying especially when restarting a computer over and over.
Just wish the disc was straight to the point instead of being very difficult to try to get started.
