Amazing PC. Runs pretty much any game on high/ultra if clocked. sounds like an actual jet engine but it does well.
My only issue is the power supply I received with the PC is 135w, which is FAR below the requirement to properly run the PC, so after about 2-3 weeks of use, the charger gave out.

Battery isn’t good but use mostly as a desktop, really powerful laptop for the price, just throw another 8gbs of ram in her and ur good to go!! Also wait for the deals I think I got it for $600

I have been using this laptop for a while now so I can give an honest review. I will probably end up donating it to someone with children. Whilst I think it is a nice laptop, I think it would be better as a child’s first laptop or for schoolwork. They could have added a lot more to this laptop to make it great. They used a good graphics card, a GeForce RTX 4050 which is very up to date. They graphics on the desktop and the games I tried where really good and could run them on max settings. The AMD Hexa-Core processor is also very nice, quick and up to date but is only a 3.3 GHz Where it falls for me is the minimum RAM at only 8GB. Yes, is it would be easy to upgrade it, but no one wants the hassle or lots of external upgrades. They could have just done this from the start. The SSD again is only 512 GB. It would have been just as easy to put in a 1TB or more. It has all the usual USB ports, a type c and HDMI. The keyboards nice to type on, the speakers are loud and clear, and the display is a 144 hz refresh rate and very detailed and clear. For the price I do think this is a pretty decent, solid, well made and durable laptop. It would be an awesome first laptop for a child. I would have rather paid a bit extra to get the more upgraded version which would then definitely make this a 5-star laptop. I am a big fan of AMD and Geforce. Overall, I would recommend but be prepared to upgrade it as soon as you get it.

Perfect for simple PC gaming (Fortnite/ Roblox/ Minecraft ) got it for my son for his BDAY and it works great with good features , haven’t pushed it with a big game but I’m sure it would work good

This PC has everything I wanted/needed for my gaming. Also the value is great for what you get.

I bought this laptop with the sole purpose of playing VR with my HP Reverb G2. There is NO way to make this happen. The laptop does not have a display port, mini display port and the usbC cannot handle the data. All adaptors do not work either, i spent about a $100 extra trying adaptors with no luck. So now I have a $800 boring laptop. Wish I could get my money back.

This is a nice entry-level gaming laptop, although I am using it mostly for other purposes. It has 3 USB-A ports and 1 USB-C port, but I would have preferred more USB-C ports and fewer of the USB-A. On the ANV15-41 model the USB-C port is labeled “USB Type C port with DC-in”. I assumed this meant it could also be charged through the USB-C port, but when I tried charging it that way it failed. Upon reading the User Manual concerning the USB ports I found this “DC-in: requires power adapter or power source providing 65 W at 20 V.” I will try again if I get a suitable charger.
The battery life is good, at least for non-gaming applications. There is a setting in NitroSense to limit battery charging to 80% of capacity, this results in less stress on the battery for longer battery life. The laptop fans are quiet, except during gaming. I have been using this for a couple of months now, and it seems to be a solid performer for everything I have used it for.
I would recommend going to the Acer website and downloading both the User Manual and the Lifecycle Extension Guide for the ANV15-41. The Lifecycle Extension Guide gives detailed explanations, with pictures, of how to replace various components such as the battery pack, DIMMs, WLAN module, and USB board, among others.
I am very happy with this laptop and it is a good value for those on a budget.

I work in IT for a living, so I will write my review based on both consumer and expert analysis.
From the more expert side, this is an overall solid budget laptop. The battery life is abysmal, admittedly, but with more powerful hardware I wasn’t expecting a half day or anything. But even playing more lightweight games kills the battery in under 2 hours. While you’re probably not going to be doing much if any gaming while not connected to AC, it’s still good information to have. A removable battery would have been nice for a laptop of this type.
From the upgradability side, I’m happy to report that this can have both memory and storage upgraded. Too many manufacturers are soldering these components in now, so it was nice to see i can upgrade (and with a default 8GB of memory, you’ll want to do so).
The screen is crisp and the refresh rate of 144hz is very nice for a laptop. It makes the gaming experience that much better, especially in fast paced games and first person shooters.
The ports, keyboard, and touchpad are all adequate. Nothing negative, nothing that stands out. But one thing that does annoy me is the barrel charging adapter. Instead of going with USB-C for charging, they went with a proprietary barrel connector. I’ve had bad experiences with this styling outside of Dell, especially when the port gets bumped or moved too much. Hopefully the board that houses the barrel isn’t soldered directly to the main board, as that is an expensive issue should it fail
Regarding the weight, it’s a gaming laptop. It’s heavy and bulky, but you expect this from a gaming laptop. The matte finish isn’t anything show stopping, but if you care about function over form then you’ll not care in the slightest about the aesthetics. I know I don’t. The graphics card performs quite well, even with some games at ultra. While Skyrim is an older game, I was able to max out the settings and still have a great frame rate.
If I find any games in particular seem to cause this laptop unusual issues, I’ll update the review. But, as it stands, this is a great budget laptop with upgradability. The only major qualms, in summary, are the barrel style AC adapter and the battery life. It also does tend to run a bit hotter when being pushed hard, which tells me the cooling may be slightly inadequate. I may opt to run some fans underneath to keep it a bit cooler when going more extreme gaming.
