Compared with the same rope I ordered two years ago, this one is brittle and doesn’t turn properly. Quality has gone markedly downhill. For shame. I sought a new rope because the first one wore down at the middle, and I was afraid it might split. I now will use that one until it does split, and then I’ll seek a replacement from a different manufacturer.

I have been using the 2lb jump rope for a couple of weeks now. I have been jumping rope for about two yrs and this rope is a horse. I have used a weighted handle jump rope 2 lb. thus far. The new rope itself weighs two lbs. so the speed of the rope is much slower and it works the outside of your arms until you can’t continue.
By the end of the 3rd 3 minute round I am happy the warm up is over. I miss the speed of my other ropes doing the double under and such. I am looking forward to see if I made any gains when I tryout my old rope again.

This rope is a great change of pace from my speed rope. The weight is distributed evenly and the rope can take a beating. The only negative is with a speed rope you want to turn your wrists to move the rope, but with this rope you have to move the arms more.
I recommend if you are jumping rope to get into shape and need a change of pace rope.

I have three different weights of these jump ropes. They make for a terrific workout. I couldn’t be happier with how they function. Unfortunately the pvc ‘rope’ is already torn almost completely through at both handles after only 2 months. I have a similar issue with the green rope as well.
