Timothy Richardson –
I was impressed with the quality of the service that I received. The delivery was excellent, the delivery arrived earlier than scheduled! The lens was packaged carefully. The lens is exactly what was described in the review. The lens is in perfect condition and fully functional. Great service and care by the staff all around. I’m looking forward to further business with the team.

Has just enough weight to it to feel well built compared to some of my kit lenses . Though it remains light enough to carry around for a while. Has great sharpness and the AF works great and is pretty quiet. Being a 67mm it seems to gather light better then my 55 & 52 mm ones . I’m happy with my purchase and have got some great photos so far with it

I probably use this lens every single day. It’s such a great all purpose lens. Not a lot of distortion, hardly ever have to use the hood with it. Can’t complain at all about the price point. Auto-focus on the dx lenses is super fast and silent.

I wanted to upgrade from the Kit Lens and this was a great buy.
Nikon built this thing like a tank. Nice and rigid construction with lots of options – Auto/Manual selection, Vibration control, metal collar.
18mm is nice and wide with good all around photos – no distortion that I ever notice on the edges, which some people have complained of with wider lenses. Zoomed out to 140mm still takes fabulous photos and I zoom out that length a fair amount of time.
The only thing that might be viewed as a negative is the Auto Focus motor is slightly loud, but it doesn’t bother me. Fast action on Auto with very, very good vibration control. I can use this lens with some longer exposures and not use a tripod, still getting pretty sharp photos.
This Nikon lens is my “go to” and I rarely use any other lens. I purchased a refurb and have had no issues. Price is still pretty good. Definitely recommend this lens.

I ordered one of these lens and got it within days. When I went to put it on my camera it would not seat properly and grinded as I screwed it on. I sent that one back. The second one was better but still had some difficulty with the attachment-not smooth like my other 6 lens but I am keeping it for now. I have 90-days to return it so I am going to test it out. It takes great pictures though and it is a very versatile lens. I love only having one lens for so many purposes. It is a bit heavy, but compared to my 300 mm lens it is a dream. I took some pictures at my Wife’s birthday party the other night and they were just fine. I just don’t know if I can live with the issue of the grinding when I put the lens on. This lens was a great deal and it is vey functional, and looks brand new.

Purchased this lens because I needed something that would perform better in gymnasiums at basketball games for pictures and also for taking video on my DSLR. This ticked both boxes at a competitive price point.
I like the Vibration Reduction feature on the lens. I think that is more noticeable when I’ve shot video with the lens. There might have been a little bit of a benefit on pictures, but I normally shoot at a high enough shutter speed that vibration shouldn’t be a big problem.
18-140mm is a nice spread for the shots I was taking. It covers a good enough range that I don’t feel the need to swap back and forth between lenses.
There are still some aperture limitations with this lens for what I’m using it for, but that is going to be the case until I fork over a lot of money for a better lens. This lens certainly has done the job for what I need!

First of all, I have to say that I am very satisfied with this lens. Prior to this purchase, I was using kit lenses with my D7500. Autofocus with D7500 always seemed slow and imprecise; sometimes it just didn’t seem to work at all. With this lens, the autofocus works almost flawlessly. My earlier problem was cheap lenses, not the D7500. During a recent vacation, I took over 2000 photos and videos with this lens. They are generally good quality. However, I did get some vignetting when the lens was fully extended, and light was dim late on a cloud afternoon.
Second, a still curious about the origin of the lens. It was definitely new; in fact, the first few times I extended it, it was still quite stiff, but loosened up immediately. The lens was absolutely clean and free of dust. I am certain that no one had used it before! So, why did this lens claim to be reconditioned?
Theory 1: There is gold paint on raised lettering near the mount; on mine, the gold paint was uneven, thicker on the outer side and thinner on the in side. Maybe this was viewed by Nikon as a quality defect and the lens couldn’t be sold as new.
Theory 2: Nikon has of course discontinued the whole D series of cameras, and there is no longer a market for lenses in new cameras. Perhaps Nikon had overproduced these lenses, and realizing that they might never sell them, dumped them on the liquidator market. My lens arrived by itself in plain box (no printing), and there was absolutely no documentation with it. However, it did come with an aftermarket lens hood. This wasn’t indicated on Amazon when I ordered, and I ordered a separate hood when I ordered this lens. So, now I can lose one! Shouldn’t be hard to do, since I lose my glasses 8-10 times a day.
