It was incredibly simple to set up. You’ll want a few other tools if you can’t tell how much juice you’re pulling.
It took me longer to watch the video the actually connect it.
Very easy to use. Works well with everything Google. Picture quality is clear and zooming in is clear about 30-40 feet away.
It’s wired, so no battery to worry about.

Purchased a “renewed” model, went through all the steps to ensure it could connect to my wifi, wired it in, wired in the bell, and spent multiple hours on the phone with google nest support and neither I or they could get it to work. The “renewed” google nest I was sent had the QR code carefully scraped off the model- very sketchy. Disappointed in Amazon for selling such an obviously damaged product and the time I wasted setting it up.

This is much better than the google nest 2nd generation for my situation. Nest hello It gets a wider view and works better when you have a low ceiling porch. Highly recommend in my situation.

Instructions easy to understand. Picture crisp, clear and transparent night and day. Voice easy to understand. Very precise on vision. Took a while to get use to retrieving video recordings. Have not needed Tech Support since buying in August 2023. Works great in very sunny and heavy rainy weather. Purchased hood to go over top to shade lens from sun.

I settled on the Google indoor Nest Video Doorbell Camera 720p Wired because my family had a Google Nest product and I liked that I could hook it up to my existing doorbell system. Google indoor Nest Video Doorbell Camera 720p Wired is powered through the existing doorbell wiring so I didn’t have to worry about batteries wearing out so quickly (as I have read in other reviews of battery-powered video doorbells).
Installation of the doorbell was easy but I did have to mess around with connecting it to my existing ringer. My testing ringer is pretty old, so the instructions applied to about 80% of the install. In the end, I got it all figured out and have been happy with this product.

My son got it installed but we are unable to link it to my Nest Account. Keeps saying “unsupported”. This seller may be selling an outdated product. Upon calling Google and getting help, I was able to get it connected. They informed me this is a 1sts generation product and is not supported anymore. Picture quality is good and clear, day and night. Remember contact Google to avoid frustration with installation.
