This isn’t too bad. At first it was a struggle to get the thing able to fit on my mouthpiece, let alone with a reed on, but I did get it eventually. I do think over time the material will stretch and mold and fit better to the mouthpiece. I find if I have to adjust the position of the mouthpiece on the neck, the reed will shift with the ligature, but while playing it seems fine. Ligature shouldn’t affect sound, but I did feel a meatier sound in lower notes. Maybe because most of the reed is covered by a material rather than the open metal basic ligature I had already. Worth a shot for 12 bucks if you’re looking for something in this style. It does look quite nice.

I’m thrilled with mine, and I have a big box full of different ligatures, none of which worked with my new mouthpiece.
Sizing a ligature for your mouthpiece can be tricky. Here are the dimensions that matter.
X-axis (horizontal) range: 7/8″ (22.26 mm) to 1-3/16″ (30.16 mm)
Y-axis (vertical) range: 15/16″ (23.81 mm) to 1″ (25.4 mm)
These measurements are for the front of the slightly conical ligature. I’ve found that if the front fits where you want to align it, the slightly larger rear diameter will also fit the conical mouthpiece shape.
I needed this for a very expensive, custom, hand-made, TENOR (not alto) saxophone mouthpiece that has unusually thin dimensions. Price didn’t matter but the fit had to be perfect.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials and construction of this ligature and it does everything that it’s supposed to do really well. It even has small protective tabs under the tightening screw, so you won’t get any scratches on the top of your mouthpiece.
The legendary maker of my custom mouthpiece told me, in no uncertain terms, to only use metal ligatures. I’ve been playing for 56 years and respectfully disagree with him. What matters is the fit and how effective it is in firmly holding the reed to the table of the mouthpiece. The trick for leather or imitation leather ligatures is to maintain pressure on the underside with your thumb, to ensure it’s firmly pressed against the mouthpiece table while tightening it.
If the interior diameters of this ligature fit your mouthpiece (remembering to leave room for the reed in the Y-axis), then I’m sure you’ll be as pleased as I was with this ligature.

Does what it is supposed to. Not outstanding, but what you expect for a mid range ligature

as i state in the video, fits my s80 selmer c* mouthpiece perfectly, holds the reed in place & does not slide when adjusting, & sounds good so far! 👍 PLUS it’s inexpensive

I’ve read quite a few bad reviews on this ligature and they are all wrong. I have 5 of these. 3 for my alto mouthpieces and 2 for my tenor and they are great. They fit every one of my mouthpieces perfectly Including a Selmer C* for both my tenor and alto as well as a Vandoren AL3 and Yamaha 4-C a Cannonball Alcazar stock for my alto and a Bari Tenor. The ligature works great on all of them. It’s easy to put on, easy to adjust and holds the reed in place great. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this ligature and for $12 its a no brainer. Ignore the naysayers and get one or 5

Quedó perfecto en el saxofón
Very nice –
I own 4 other ligatures. This is the worst I’ve ever had. It is barely large enough for Vandoren, Selmer, and Yamaha 5C mouthpieces. Plus the mouthpiece holder is way too large for any of the above mouthpieces. I was able to wrap electrical tape on it to shrink the diameter enough to snugly fit any mouthpiece. Flimsy plastic. The ligature is hard to use. It is very stiff, hard to align, and when I try to remove it from the mouthpiece it often sticks to the mouthpiece, and I have to wrestle it off. If I hadn’t lost the container it came in I would send it back. I’ll trash it as I wouldn’t even want to give it away.

I used to use metal ligatures that came with my horn. But when i decided to upgrade my mouthpiece, i thought might as well find a ligature too. And i am very glad i picked this one! Fits great on the mouthpiece and allows a good amount of movement for the reed.

I am a beginner and although this was inexpensive it works well.

Ottimo!!!
