I have two African dwarf frogs with some guppies in my tank- one of them died unexpectedly and I noticed my other one was getting super sick (pale, not moving, webs on his feet looked messed up) I’ve been using this for 4 days now and my frog is doing a lot better. He’s swimming around and looks a lot less pale. I’ll update if I can later on but so far I think this has saved his life.

This product worked miracles. I have a 140 gallon freshwater community tank that has 3 Denison barbs (aka roseline sharks) among current residents. I’ve had them for a few years and they have gotten quite large (~5”). Recently, out of nowhere, one of them developed white patches on their dorsal side that continued to grow. He began swimming very weirdly, almost standing vertically in one place the entire day. I had lost another one like this a few years back and the local fish store thought it was a bacterial infection and had me treat the tank with some white powdery stuff. It did not work and I lost that one. This patch on this little guy kept getting bigger until it looked like he had a cotton ball on his back, I was really despairing and thought I was going to lose him.
Went online and found that the cottony growth was probably a fungal infection, which led me to this product. Raced out to the local store and bought the last bottle they had in stock. Put it in the tank the same day after removing the carbon from my sump. It was truly miraculous that after only 1-2 days of treatment, he started improving, The large external fungal growth began separating from his dorsal side and completely fell off in another day, exposing the damage the fungus had caused. He began swimming much more normally and rejoined his 2 schooling mates as they darted about the tank. Also noticed he began eating again.
I continued dosing for a week and then did a 25% water change. He was still not fully healed, his external scales had not grown back, so I have continued dosing for another week and will do a second water change. He continues to heal and is almost back to normal appearance and behavior again.
I am so thankful for this product and how well it has worked for my fish. Can’t recommend it highly enough and plan on keeping some in stock.

I have 2 beautiful Giant Albino Gouramis (8″ and 6″ long). One of them developed red patches on the side. In a week the scales on the patch started coming off leaving behind a dirty-looking greenish-gray bulge. The fins also seemed to be tearing away. Both Gouramis soon had white dots on their fins. And they stopped eating completely and started to sit down at the bottom of the tank. So, it looked like my fishes had multiple infections.
I ordered Pimafix along with Melafix. Used them both together for 7days as instructed on the bottle. It smells completely natural. It cause a bit of bubble formation on the water surface, but its okay. In 4days, the white dots were gone and the fins looked way healthier. By the 8th day, the greenish-gray bulge had gone completely with just a faint scar remaining. On the 9th day, they were visibly more active and started eating.
Only down side is the price. For 118ml, I paid INR.575. If you have a big tank, a 7 day treatment will easily finish off the bottle. Maybe its because, the label on the bottle says ‘Made in USA’. The bottle is really sturdy. But the seal inside the cap was just namesake which made me suspect if it was original.
Anyways, my fishes are back to being healthy and active. So, no complaints. I highly recommend it!

Ordered some new fish and unfortunately they arrived with some white patches (not ich). The pet shop orders them in and they are picked up still in the bag. I decided to take them as they were going into an isolation tank anyway. It took 2 1/2 weeks but this treatment, along with API aquarium salt, worked.

(WARNING- This is an in depth review of this aquarium product. This review is to help those seriously interested in purchase make an informed buying decision. For a brief summary, see section marked THE BOTTOM LINE)
——————-
I have been keeping fish for quite a few years now. I have a variety of tanks and fish. When it comes to a first defense, I want something natural and that is not going to strip my tank filters of beneficial bacteria. Let’s see how Pimafix measures up.
WHAT IS PIMAFIX LIKE?
Pimafix is a natural extract of a plant in the myrtle family also known as West Indian Bay tree. It is a weak extract which helps nudge the water into a more healthy environment for the fish in certain instances. This comes in a bottle with a measuring cap on top. You use 5ml for every 10 gallons of water, and use daily for seven days, followed by at least 25% water change. The smell is a bit herby and the appearance is clear.
WHAT DOES THIS TREAT?
This is used primarily for fungal conditions such as fungus growths, mouth and body fungus, and even reddening of the fins and body- but not the kind that is sores- that is better addressed by APIs other product called Melafix which is derived from tea tree.
HOW DOES THIS PERFORM?
This performs well when used for cottony looking fungal growth. I had a fish with a small patch of cottony growth on a top fin. After a week of use of Pimafix, the growth has gone down by half and none of the other fish have shown signs of it.
DOES THIS AFFECT THE FILTER?
This does not throw off the biological filter of the tank if used as recommended with water changes every 5 to 7 days.
ANY UNUSUAL THINGS?
This does create a tremendous foam in a tank so don’t panic if that happens to you. It is normal and will go away eventually.
SENSITIVITIES
I HIGHLY recommend that when you start using Pimafix that you use a smaller dose at first to test for any fish sensitivities. I have used this in all of my freshwater tanks, usually with no problem, including snails and shrimp. HOWEVER, I have had occasional fish which have personal allergic reactions or difficulties with Pimafix or Melafix. It is important that you either remove the sick fish into a hospital tank that you can isolate treatment and observation or at least start with smaller doses to test and see if any fish are allergic.
THE BOTTOM LINE
For fungal conditions, if you use Pimafix as a first defense, it will help reduce and often reverse cottony looking fungal conditions and general body or fin reddening. For more serious conditions, something a bit more intense might be required.
MY RATING
I really love Pimafix. It works well if you catch things early in your tanks, and often can go hand in hand with Melafix, depending on your fish.

Used this on my betta. Did not harm snails or shrimp and plants also in the tank. High reccomend!

I put new fish in small goldfish pond, and they had Ick. They got white spots and would not eat and lost 13 big goldfish. I used this product and they started to eat and the white spots stopped getting bigger. This stuff saved my last 6 fish.

This is a great product, I’ve only been using for a few days, and was hesitant/undecided between purchasing this one, or the Melafix. I went with this one because it seemed to closer fit my fishes needs, there was a coupon available, and so far its been amazing. I’ve only been using for about 4 days, but so far it seems like the large white spots and fuzz around my goldfishes mouths are already clearing up tremendously. I’ll update when the bottles empty, but for now it seems to be helping and I couldn’t be happier.
Please take note anyone treating for a similar issue, I’ve been using this treatment combined with a partial water change, and aquarium salts every day. I plan to continue for up to two weeks if necessary.
