Just opened and set it up. So far it’s great! It has three light settings, all seem to work great so far. I’m just using it to light my 5 gallon tank that contains plants and snails 🙂 great buy!! Perfect for my five gallon 🙂 price is great compared to the stores that carry similar products near me.

I have a 60 gallon Marineland aquarium. The problem is the 2 LED lights keep going out. Each light (Marineland brand) costs about $40+ and the light doesn’t last a year. This one seems to fit the bill and it has 3 switches to control light intensity, on/off, and black light/Regular light. The brightness is far better than Marineland brand, even though, it is not the exact fit on top of the aquarium hood. I reversed the security brackets so the light unit doesn’t move or fall off the hood. Hope this helps others.

Quite small even on my 5 gallon.
The brightness is OK but not as good as I had hoped .
Only time will tell if it is good enough for the plants I have in there.
That is a small shrimp only tank so I need good plant and algae growth .
3rd pic is ALL lights on .
4th pic is white and one blue on .
5th is just white on.
Blue only one or both look good but camera grabs to much and shows to much blue so not useful to show here.
Over all I am happy with it , just need to see if I can use it on my shrimp only tank or will it get moved to a fish only tank with no plants.
Update : 30 days in , and yes I can say this light will grow plants in my 5 gal Shrimp only tank. Last picture is of the thank showing plant growth , no fertilizers no CO2 . I have had to do one small trimming as some of the plants actually grew up a bit to much for my liking . I will be doing a trimming again in the next few week. This light has been on 12 hrs a day every day . Algae growth is there (needed for shrimp) seen in back by/on heater , but the light output seems to be very good as there is no large algae out break . VERY happy ..

The light lasted me 1 year and 5 months until it went dead. For an LED light that’s only 12$ that’s not bad. It also worked well in a planted tank. ordering another.

I thought that the light was going to bright enough for my planted tank but it turns out its not. (Didnt know what fowlr meant) so im not going to leave a negative review because of my mistakes. The light Emmitts very a very attractive 6500k light and gets a little warm but should not do so to cause problems

I love this aquarium light with a tweak! The white/Daylight LEDs are WAY too bright at night for my Betta if you place the light on top of the aquarium! So in order to “darken” the bright LEDs, I turn on all 3 switches (the blues dim the white LEDs) and place the light on its side (see pic) behind the tank and shining AWAY from the tank.
This gives the tank enough light at night for him until bedtime when all the room lights go off including these and the blue LEDs.
Normally I’d just run the room overhead light for him but that’s been annoying shining into the living room for me so I needed to buy something to light his tank once it goes dark at night. During the day, Betta gets daylight through the open curtains by him. I removed the tank cover so you can see more clearly how the light shines through the tank.
Overall a nice light. I just wish there was a way to select minimal white LEDs. I’m also attaching a pic of the only blues but it looks kinda purple – the lights in person are very very blue FYI but don’t give him enough light before bed.
Lastly, he will be having a small shrimp filter that will go in and that does not affect the lighting when that is attached to the back/bottom of the tank. It is a 6 gallon tank.

I bought this for a smaller 6 gallon tank and it was so hard to find one that was 11 inches or smaller. Arrived today and it’s perfect. You can use white, blue or both colors.
