I bought this to be my second monitor with my other Asus that is a different model from this one. I can say that even though I was never unhappy with my first monitor, this one has a much sharper and clear picture by comparison. I didn’t even have to tune it out of the box as it came with pretty decent default settings. My monitor also came with a DisplayPort cable, which was a welcome change from DVI in 2020, or even hdmi.
Gaming experience on this monitor is quite enjoyable and just working on it is also fine. The only negative for is the location of the control buttons. Due to how I have it set up, they are hard to reach on the side, but I don’t expect everyone to have the same problem.
The outward appearance of the monitor is not the most outstanding you can get, but it is also pretty good. It does have a bevel around it, but it is quite thin and I personally might even prefer it this way.
I have it mounted, so if you are buying it with that intention, VESA 100mm mounts work just fine with it. It has a nice flat cut out on the back for mounting purpose, but you will need to take out the stand from it (which is normal I guess).
Overall quite a decent monitor, good price and good picture quality and performance. Oh, and it is definitely 144Hz. You can change it in the video card driver to 165Hz, but since my other monitor is 144 as well, I just keep it at this frequency to not get distracted by the difference.

good gaming monitor and high refresh rate helps in gaming. however, the video quality when watching youtube and netflix is terrible. the colors are off no matter how much i tried to fix it,i have an Asus VG248QE 7 or 9 years old monitor and still better than this one

I had purchased the IPS version of this series, and could not get used to it. I’ve come from a history of using TN panels, and was going to switch to IPS for desktop monitor. But the IPS version of the Asus Tuf gaming monitors just made my eyes hurt (yes, I adjusted all settings, toned down brightness, etc). After MUCH deliberation, I figured I should try this TN panel version, and WOW, instantly my eyes felt better using them. Especially at any angle. I can’t describe it well, but the IPS versions was like I could feel/sense the backplane light panel being about a 1/4″ inch away from the front LCD array (you can REALLY tell when looking at an angle at the edge of the screen… like looking through a projecter 24/7).
Anyways, this monitor is awesome. I’m running two, primarily for work/engineering, then gaming after hours (when I can!). 144hz is enough for me, I run these at 120hz, beyond that I don’t notice much additional smoothness. I highly recommend these TN Asus Gaming monitors!
PRO-TIP: Be sure your computer is outputting full RGB range colors! If using HDMI, and sometimes DisplayPort too, your PC will limit colors to a “Limited” range, making colors look washed out, faded, not as bold. Trust me, the colors on this monitor are awesome and bold! Don’t be fooled by Windows!

This monitor is probably the top 3 best budget monitors out there. This monitor has a very good refresh rate, very good picture quality, very good settings included in it, and it take about 2 minutes or under to set up, they also made the design of the monitor look very sleek and nice. The only negative thing i have to say about it is that the speakers are not the best but a 20 dollar headphone fixes it all. This monitor also has a blue light filter which is very nice and comfortable to use. I would recommend this to Gamers.

The Monitor is great for gaming and the picture quality is very good. The stand is very stable and is super easy to adjust to your liking. The only thing I would say is the saturation quality is not the sharpest as the images may seem a little blurry and dull. But, nonetheless, for the price it is very good as it is. Overall very satisfied with the monitor.
