I hobby acoustical analysis for building budget audio systems in home and car spaces.
Goal for this device was to pair it with a calibrated XLR microphone and use with both iOS mobile devices and PC software. Working great with both!
This device enables 2 input measurements via loopback in addition to being a very clean audio interface for many other uses.
So far it appears it can be powered from the mobile device for full battery operation, yet I use a cheap ‘Apple camera adapter’ to charge the phone through and interface this common USB A connector device.
Really excited about this device. So far it has been flawless for my non recording/YouTuber needs. I have no gripes.
Bonus, the documentation and advertisements are adequate with the least amount of insult to the markets native language. All markets should be respected with clear communication. Not Chinglish BS.

The unit works as advertised and the sound quality is pretty, pretty good for the price point. Worked flawlessly with Pro Tools, Logic X and Audacity. Good buy for 2 channel converter. I’ve purchased a few Behringer products and have yet to be disappointed.

The Behringer UMC202HD is perfect for my application. I’m using it to connect an instrument, vocal mic and headphones to PC via USB. The instrument is a sax with wireless mic, the wireless receiver is connected to UMC202HD through standard XLR cable, as is the vocal mic. The audio quality is amazing through the XLR inputs, incredibly transparent. The application I’m using requires an ASIO driver which is supported by the supplied Behringer driver, and the latency numbers are a little better than other manufacturer ASIO drivers I’ve used. The vocal mic requires phantom power which the UMC202HD supplies. The headphone output does a good job driving my headphones, I get enough volume to listen through headphones while I’m playing. I couldn’t be happier with this audio interface, particularly considering the price point. Not only does it just work, it works very well!

I’m new to audio equipment and done some research to see what would work best for my budget.
This is my first audio interface, and it was well worth the money.
Before putting in the audio interface, I made sure that my personal PC was turned off to avoid any complications with the drivers. I had a few troubles with the setup because I don’t know much about this equipment, but I learnt a lot over that time. It only took one hour.
Pros:
– Solid structure with a full metal body.
– The knobs are quite smooth, and the feel is great.
– The microphone quality is very good.
– It sounds amazing through my headphones.
– Reasonably priced!
Cons:
– The unit I received had a large scratch on the DIRECT MONITOR and PHONES area. I didn’t expect to receive damages on a new product.
– No mono button. (This can easily be work around with software like VOICEMEETER Banana or Equalizer APO. There are numerous tutorials available online that will assist you, and they are not overly complicated.)

I’ve had Presonus Audiobox iOne, Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd and 4th Gen and was extremely disappointed with them.
The Presonus began crackling on the volumeknob after about a year and thought it was time for Focusrite because of the name… Well I can tell you… the 3rd gen took about half as long before it had the same issue and the 4th gen just took 2 weeks.
Unbelievable and waiting for a replacement of the 4th gen version which I will directly sell.
I’ve gone into depth with reviews about the cheaper DAC’s and found out this Behringer (which I thought of as a real cheap budgetbrand) has freakin’ everything… Good Preamps, headphone output which had finally much more power and the monitoroutputs less power which is exactly my problem with the Focusrites.
As far as I can judge this is the best out of the bunch I’ve had and used and the price is absolutely fair. Can recommend this to anyone that has some home-studio for small productions. I’m doing quite a lot of voice-overs myself but also produce some electronic music.
I’m also someone that appreciates just listening to music and I don’t hear any difference between all these DAC’s so buy the cheap one (Please check out you get a Behringer with the MIDAS Preamps) and enjoy a great product for a fair price.

Ho comprato questa scheda audio perché pensavo rappresentasse il perfetto connubio tra qualità e prezzo…avevo ragione! Non costa come una focusrite, non è una focusrite chiaramente, ma personalmente non necessitavo delle prestazioni della focusrite o marche e modelli superiori. Questa è perfetta per me che sono un principiante nell editing musicale, ma la trovo adattissima anche ad un livello medio-alto. Io personalmente l’ho utilizzata per registrare chitarra elettrica e acustica e voce, utilizzando e non la loop station jamman ed effetti con amplificatore fender. Insomma, anche con un’insalata di strumentazione se la cava bene, il suono è chiaro e squillante. Generalmente perde un po di qualità se si utilizza la cassa della chitarra come tamburo o anche con la chitarra elettrica che presenta un suono troppo macchinoso simile portandosi appresso il classico ticchettio del plettro… con la voce risulta buona, la qualità non eccelsa la attribuisco al microfono (neewer) non di estrema professionalità. Al tatto è solida e offre sicurezza di resistenza all’utilizzo (ormai la uso da 3 anni assiduamente)
Consiglio questo prodotto a 360 essendo di buona qualità, versatile, esteticamente bellissima, piccola e compatta e praticamente trasportabile in uno zaino e facile da utilizzare visto che basta installare i driver ed il gioco è fatto. Ottimo prodotto. Peace ✌️

I love that Behringer is budget friendly and just as good as other equipment. The few complaints I have are drivers and monitoring I/O. There are no drivers that allow you to monitor in stereo, you can only hear from the left side of the direct monitoring. And there is only one output for direct monitoring. I cannot stress how much I’ve been enjoying this interface. Previously using the single XLR inputs for years this upgrade is worth it.

This is superior to the PreSonus AudioBox iTwo in most ways:
* more compact
* knurled knobs
* better loopback test results
Here are the loopback-to-XLR test results per RightMark Audio Analyzer:
20 Hz to 20 kHz: +/- 0.17 dB
Noise: -93.7 dBA
THD: 0.00404%
THD + Noise: -83.2 dBA
IMD + Noise: 0.00708%
IMD at 10 kHz: 0.00745%
These are excellent results. However there are two exceptions:
* Engaging the “pad” switch only attenuates the input and does not lower preamp gain. So all else equal the noise result drops to a less respectable -84.6 dBA when using “pad”
* Something is wrong with the analog line input stage design. When you use the 1/4″ input jacks the THD + Noise gets inexcusably worse than XLR: -59.3 dBA. I’ve repeated this test many different ways and the result is the same from my own tests and others’. The PreSonus AudioBox iTwo does not exhibit this problem. If you’re recording line input and THD + Noise is critical, you may want to avoid the Behringer.
