Codes gives you a link to the part. Codes are easy to understand. Easily connected to the Bluetooth on my phone. The device is accurate and well built. Worth every penny spent.

Good news is it read the correct code. Other good news is it will reset the code. Not good with instructions so you got to figure out when the vehicle needs to be cranked and when the vehicle just needs to be switched on. When giving possible solutions it only gives one. I’ve had other code readers like this that would give possible solutions by percentage of what has fixed the code. In the first case it told me it was my evap canister purge valve. But in reality it could have been the canister itself, the canister solenoid, The Purge valve, The temperature sensor, a bad vacuum line, or the wiring harness. For The price I’ll do some research and some testing and really have no complaints.

I was initially worried after reading some reviews that mentioned issues with connecting the device to my phone and concerns about the app. However, I found that the connection process was straightforward, and while it only works with the dedicated app, that’s actually a positive. Unlike traditional OBD II readers that simply give you error codes, this device goes the extra mile by providing detailed explanations and potential solutions directly through the app. The convenience of having all this information at your fingertips can’t be overstated. Overall, the app works well and provides clear, actionable information that has been very helpful in diagnosing and fixing issues with my car.

Works for basic maintenance and clearing codes. Advance operations require additional subscriptions or payments.

Used it on my 2014 Camry, found the problem right away, it was the oxygen sensor, and the App provided a link to purchase the part, excellent. I used it on several different cars, and it worked very well.
The product used a proprietary App, RepairSolutions2, which is very user friendly, easy to set up, quick, and intuitive. It gave me a lot of useful information, including layman’s definition and effect on the car, which is super helpful and saved me a lot of time googling and searching on YouTube. One thing I don’t like is that it requires you to provide an email and create an account , however, in return, it also provides free cloud space to store all your car scan reports that you can access whenever you need it, which is very convenient. Also, I can confirm that the App is free, no subscription fee. I had a FIXD scanner, and it required a subscription fee.
I have other scanners that I purchased in the past, they are more expensive and not as good as this block tech scanner. For the price, this dongle works perfectly and gives me a lot of relevant and useful information, and I will rank it number one among all the scanners I have. It is worth every penny.

This bluetooth obd2 scanner is worth every dollar (I paid about $30). I have used it on more than 10 different vehicles, f150, ram, toyota, honda, bmw, mercedes benze, vw, etc.,and it worked on all of them, great coverage. It is a basic scanner and only reads and clears enginne code (if you need oem code like abs, you can buy the 430 model), but it can do live data, and also provides possible fix and parts needed, which is very useful for a do-it-yourself person. One thing I like particularly is the free cloud storage for all the scan reports, and I can also share or print the reports, which is very convenient. Great product for the price, function, and quality.

I figured this device would at least stay paired with the phone. You know how you get a $5 bluetooth speaker and you turn it off, turn it on, and it automatically connects? Not with this waste of cash
So you gotta plug it in, sit there for the sluggish app to find the device, pair the device, then input the vin/year make model EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Also, I assume due to its hipster bluetooth functionality, your vehicle must be in accessory mode. I’ve never had any problems plugging my $15 autel on any of my three vehicles while they are running.
I got this for road trips, interested in the live data so I could see exactly what my car is reading instead of going through a list of probabilities which causes a dummy light, throwing money at a problem.
I haven’t even had my CEL come on since I bought this, but I guarantee I would not reach for this pos – pull over, turn off my vehicle, sit on the side of the road for at least 180seconds, then continue down the road. It wouldn’t be a waste of time, but dangerous bruh.
I’d reach for my $15 scanner, and worst case scenario Google the code to find out the most popular cause.
In conclusion, I would not recommend this. However if you like pitter-pattering, wasting time staring at your phone, for some reason havent memorized troubleshooting codes AND can’t use google to lookup said code, I’d say this product is great for you. I mean live data works, and so does recording live data. But still, PITA. 1 star.

This is the 2nd scanner that I’ve bought ( this one is for a neighbor). This scanner and its companion app that shows the actual data are easy to use. The data is valuable and the site also recommends what the estimated cost is for repair and future maintenance possibilities. Nice entry point scanner for the “shade tree mechanic.”
