My dog does well on this food. She’s a 19 month old miniature schnauzer, that loves to eat. I’d gotten another grain-free brand to try and save a bit of money (still had real chicken in it- not bird body parts), but her turds were like sawdust. She’s going back on this, as she was doing great- and deserves high quality food. I think her skin was better also (had some issues with one of her pads getting ‘carpet burn’ from how fast she runs and turns on a dime when playing). I had to supplement the old food with coconut oil to give her some fat. Blue Buffalo products have consistently been great, and my dog likes them. I’ve had to measure her food out 2-3 times/day, or she’d eat 2 days worth at once.

Our 15 year old Corgi has been eating this all her life and we have never had any problems the the food. She loves and runs to her bowl every morning waiting for me to put it in there. We also have a 5 year old longhaired Miniature Dachshund that we’ve had since he was 4 months old and he loves loves this food and our Vet. also recommended this food. All 4 of our dogs have grown up on this food and I’ve had Vets tell me that they have never seen a healthier dog as they has ours eating Blue Buffalo. I won’t switch this food because I know how nutritious and good it is for them and the vitamins they get is just awesome. The only thing I might do is purchase it somewhere else now. Now paying close to $30 a bad now compared to the other stores for much less than what I’m paying now. Its gone up for the third time in the past several years. Very disappointed in the price of it now.

My shihtzu-poodle absolutely loves this. He had a minor health issue nine months ago at the tender age of nine and a half, and the vet suggested I switch him to grain-free food. He’d never eaten grain-free in his life. When I bought this first in a pet store, the sales lady strongly recommended I mix it with yummy foods with gravies etc to get him to eat it. And she sadly reminded me that going grain free is like giving up fun, sinful food and going vegan. And she pointed out to me that even if he slows down his eating a bit, eventually he will eat it when he is hungry.
The clincher was when she said that they guarantee their product, and if he’s not eating it, I could bring it back for a full refund. So with nothing to lose, I brought it home and mixed it with some of the most bland looking grain free canned food with gravy, and he actually ate it. (Even though I felt sad for him). Next day, I decided to try him with this dry food alone. HE ATE THE WHOLE THING. (Much better without mixing it with other stuff, apparently).
He now has a better appetite than he’s ever had in his whole life, and his diet is way better with this.
I only wish they had a choice of flavors for small breeds. There seem to be so many fun flavors for large dogs. Small dogs are people too, Blue Buffalo company! Make some more flavors for small breeds so my little Boogieman can actually have a choice of menu options!

Ordered this dry food for several reasons: my dogs both rescue one a mini a schnauzer n the other a mix mini schnauzer/wirer terrier, n they seem to not enjoy the larger chucks n they usually are only for puppies. This even tho one the mixed breed is still a puppy is twice the size of the other, so when I saw this bag of dry food, I was sold. Have liked using Blue dry for a while, but it was puppie style, n advised that the content was good, but I should use an adult style. So, this is giving me both choices that I wished for a longer time than I can remember…my dogs are very important to me n my family…😃they give us such joy n happiness. I’m so glad we were able to adopt them n give them a loving home with us. So it’s very important what they are fed, n therefore I’m very picky n read very carefully before buying anything they will eat. This is a very good product with a ton of fab ingredients

My furbabies are getting older now and I think they should be eating a better dog food. I have spoiled them rotten. We feed them like babies. You know with a spoon LOL. Every morning I would put 1 cup of Beneful dry kibble in each of their bowls (now it’s Blue grainfree small breed dry kibble). I put kibble in my pocket when going out. Then they get snacks throughout the day. At dinner time they eat whatever we are eating. I like that Blue has everything that they need without the things they don’t. I also like the smaller kibble pieces that Blue comes in for easier chewing for my small breed of dog. It costs a little bit more but I think it’s worth the price. My male Japanese/bichon has had bad gas and Knee problems and my female bichon frise has skin issues( which started with the flea problem which was solved). Things are now looking up. No more bad gas and the rash is gone. Thank goodness for that. The male knee problem is managed with remydol prescribed by the doctor. When I purchased this Blue it was a $4 difference between the 4 pound bag and the 11 pound bag. So of course I got the 11 pound bag. I stored it in 5 air tight containers then stacked in a cool (not freezing cold) place. This will last a long time. My furbabies only weigh about 25 pounds. Give it a try.

The bag is hard to open, and even harder to keep closed so the food remains fresh. A bag this large really needs to be designed better. I have to fold it over and use a chip clip, which sometimes won’t stay because the bag is so bulky.

We have dachshunds. They have the most sensitive stomachs ever. We fed them regular blue buffalo for the first year of their lives, and then after a constant fight with their upset stomachs, our vet told us that our 2 have difficulty digesting grain. That being said we knew we had to switch food, but I loved the other benefits of the blue they were on. I found it made their coats shiny and soft and kept them playful as they have aged. Walking down the aisle of dog food at petsmart we landed on this food and have been feeding it to them ever since with no stomach issues or anything. They love it! Also, I love that amazon has it on the subscription service, at a super good price!(: try it out if your dogs are picky eaters or have stomach issues!
