Bonsaii 18-Sheet Heavy Duty Shredder

Great machine. Since we received about 2 wks ago, it is fantastic. Very quiet, easy to use, does a great job, and finally it is so easy to remove the shredded paper. Thank you for such a great machine.

When I need something, I shop here. I hate going to a brick and mortar store. As a consequence, I end up with a lot of Amazon boxes. I had gotten really good at breaking them down quickly for the trash. But it bothered me that the boxes were going to a landfill. So I decided to get a shredder to handle the boxes. Thus shredder works great. It is heavy duty and cross cuts very firm cardboard down to tiny pieces. I put the cardboard into my compost bins. The worms will gobble them up, no more sending boxes to the landfill and I can improve my compost. Job done!

Bought this to shred over 40 years of personal and business records. It has run continuously for 4 or 5 hours a day for the last seven or eight days and I never got it to overheat or stop working even once. Look no further, just buy it and don’t forget to buy and use paper shredder oil too! By the way, paper shredder oil is nothing more than canola oil.

UPDATE: Although this shredder works very well, unfortunately one of the caster wheels has broken off the bottom of the cabinet. The basket and cabinet are made of VERY THIN and flimsy plastic. I literally moved the unit just enough to vacuum the floor around it and the wheel snapped right off. It’s too bad they would make a shredder that works so well but then make the rest of it with thin, cheap plastic. Luckily, Amazon gave me a refund since I only owned this for a couple of weeks.

Quality shedder but the base where the shredded paper goes is flimsy and cheaply made.

I have only used this once since receiving it yesterday, but I am so well pleased by its style and function, I had to add my review right away. I have a smaller version by the same brand/ company that shreds fewer pages and doesn’t have wheels. It is okay, but noisier than I hoped and doubted it could manage the amount of shredding I need to tackle, semed a bit stressed after a short session of shredding and therefore I have only used it a few times. I decided to try this upgraded model. So far very pleased with my decision. The pages feed smoothly and quietly, more than any of the other shredders I have used (one my husband had that we gave away before we moved was not too noisy but was not a cross cut and it was a bit heavy and cumbersome) This is much lighter and the wheels area grat benefit. I love the pull out drawer and greater capacity it holds with the window to see as the the bin fills up. Plus I can open it to spred out the pile and push it down to keep the paper from blocking the blades and allow.it to hold more and more paper. It handled a full shopping bag of bills, documents, mail etc. in about 20 mins. Probably could have taken even less time, but I wasn’t doing a full 18 pages each time. Love that I could do a variety of paper types and not have to unfold everything. If a small portion of a smaller paper didn’t completely shreed it stopped and stayed where I could easily flip and feed again without jamming. There was no jamming, but I feel the reverse switch feature would handle if needed. And no smell of a motor being overly worked. This model makes this chore a breeze., almost fun even. Highly recommend so far, but I feel confident it will hold up.

This is the most quiet shredder I have ever owned. It’s very well built and shreds my “pre-approved” credit card offers without opening the envelope (worth the money for just that). It’s a little pricey…but, worth the money.
