This Bose soundbar is everything I could have hoped for and more! Setting it up was incredibly easy—no wires, just a simple wireless connection, and it worked perfectly with my Samsung TV right out of the box.
As for the sound quality, it’s out of this world. The TrueSpace technology makes the audio feel incredibly immersive, even when I’m not watching Dolby Atmos content. It upmixes regular audio into a full multi-channel experience that fills the room with rich, clear sound. The A.I. Dialogue Mode ensures that voices come through crystal-clear, so I never miss a word, even during action scenes.
The bass and depth of sound from such a compact soundbar are impressive, thanks to the five built-in transducers, including two upward-firing ones that create that spacious, surround-sound feel. I’ve been streaming music and videos using Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast without a hitch, and everything sounds amazing.
I don’t have any of the add-ons yet, but after experiencing this, I want them all! Bose has absolutely nailed it with this one. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment!

I’m going to start by saying I’ve always been a bit of “doubter” when it comes to Bose. I always thought their stuff was good but not worth the price they charge. How could it be? Well, I’m pleased to say this: My mind is blown! This might be the best piece of audio equipment I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a lot over the years.
If your TV is newer and features an HDMI ARC (it stands for “audio return channel) port your set up is going to be significantly simpler. You can still use this sound bar on an older TV by using the provided optical output cable but set up will be a bit more complicated.
As I mentioned, all the cables you will need come packed with the soundbar. I had mine up and running (using e-arc) in about 10 minutes. That’s when the fun started. I hooked up the cables all the while remembering back in the day when I wired up my old sound system. There must have been 15 sets of RCA cables to hook up back then. This sound bar uses two. One HDMI cable and a power cord. That’s it. Plug it in, download the ap, turn it on and you’re good to go! Yes, creating a Bose account is an extra step I wish you didn’t have to do but whatever, It’s 2024. Every company wants your info.
Anyway, back to the set-up. I turned on the TV and it immediately recognized the soundbar and routed the sound through it. No digging through menus, and sub-menus. It just works. Now the moment of truth. How did it sound? Well, obviously I can’t show you, but I can tell you, it produced some of the cleanest, punchiest audio I’ve ever heard. Many soundbars I find “tinny” sounding without a sub. That is not the case with this one. For such a small form factor, it really rocks across the entire spectrum. I thought for sure I was going to need a sub for this system. Now I’m not sure. I might pick on up in the future but for now I’m pretty happy with the sound. It’s crisp, clear and punchy. What I love most the AI feature brings up and shapes the dialogue, so it breaks through the background sound and music. No more turning on subtitles so you can “hear’ the actors in your favourite show.
Bottom line: Is it worth it? I realize this not a cheap item. You’re going to be investing a chunk of your hard-earned cash in this soundbar. You came here find out if it’s worth it. In my opinion, that’s a hard “YES”. Do your research but if you are searching for a small footprint soundbar that just sounds huge, this is the one. It’s pretty close to perfect. I absolutely recommend this product!!!

I have had the Bose smart sound bar for a day. I like the voice clarity on movies and tv shows. Big issue for myself and wife understand the voices. I just returned the new Samsung Q900D, the latest tech for sound bar sub and rear speakers. My Samsung TV is a series 6 and lacks some of the important technical features to justify the vey high price. Also the remote lacks features and displays unless you have the latest Samsung TV. I am impressed with the AI that drives the voice clarity. So far, good product. I might ad the sub and rear speakers that match new smart bar.

If you’re looking for big sound in a small package, this is it! Great sound output, crisp/clear sound, surprisingly strong base, even without a subwoofer. Easy to set up. I don’t use voice assistants so I can’t comment on that but it does have those capabilities. The only thing missing is an lcd screen, but it does come with an app that allows you to play with the settings and to see everything on your phone.
4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Bose New Smart Dolby Atmos Soundbar has truly transformed my bedroom into a mini home theater. Super upgrade from the TV speakers. Despite its compact size, the sound it delivers is incredibly immersive. Bose’s TrueSpace technology elevates not just Atmos content, but regular stereo and 5.1 audio too, creating an expansive audio experience. Watching movies or shows feels like being right in the middle of the action, and the soundscape is impressively balanced.
What I particularly love is the dialogue clarity—no more struggling to hear what characters are saying, thanks to the A.I. Dialogue Mode. It automatically adjusts the voices, making them ultra-clear. Streaming music through Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Spotify is also seamless. The soundbar is powerful, but if you want to go all-in on surround sound, you’d need to buy Bose Ultra Open Earbuds separately, which is a bit of a letdown since they’re not included. All in all, this soundbar is perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their space with top-notch sound quality in a compact form. Whether you’re streaming music or watching your favorite movies, this little powerhouse does it all.
+ Sleek look
+ TrueSpace audio
+ Clear dialogue
+ Compact design
+ Multi-device streaming
+ Voice control options
Hope this was helpful!

Great sound quality! Love how clear the voices come through! The A.I. dialogue mode is fabulous!
One major drawback was there is no manual nor buttons on the soundbar, the set up flyer is 4 simple instructions, should be plug and play basically. Got it all done and connected to my Samsung TV and no sound coming through it. Took hours to find a manual online and finally found a solution in reddit. Hooked it up with the optical cable not the HDMI and it worked.
Comes with a functional remote and an app for controlling the soundbar. Connects easily to spotify to play music as well.

I have had nearly every brand of soundbar in this sweet spot price range of $400-$1K. Most of the soundbars I use on a daily basis are larger by a good 12 inches than this. The Sonos Arc and the JBL Bar 9.1 are heavier, larger and have additional features for example removable surround speakers on the JBL. I also have the Sonos Beam, and this Bose I would consider a direct competitor to that more compact version of the Sonos architecture.
Setup on this Bose was a breeze other than the typical ARC recognition issues I always have on my newer Hisense 7U tv. After a few reboots of each it worked just fine. Sound is good, especially speaking, which seems to be a real focus of this product. Makes sense, if you aren’t making a full-size soundbar which would have a lot of drivers pushing 360 imaging, instead as here to focus on the most common use of a compact unit which would be watching tv.
The app is easy to install, just scan qr code, register and it found my soundbar immediately – unlike my experience with Sonos. Don’t get me started with Sonos either not finding products or requiring reconnections. So far the Bose is just always paired on startup with no issues. Music sounds “good”. Not great, not fair, but good. I believe if you are not pairing this with a subwoofer you will likely want to set the app equalizer to the full +10 on the bass, which depending on the music is either sufficient or still a little shy. I have a Sonos subwoofer but not sure I will be able to cross-connect; based on forums I doubt it.
All in all, as stated before – this is a very clear competitor for the Beam and performs very similarly. The Atmos works well extending the height, especially if you tweak it to +4 or so on the app. Listening is comfortable and nothing stands out as being problematic especially after pushing up the bass. I like the visual display on the front and nice to have the front and top functionality to separate the stereo image and height portion of the sound.
For the price, this is a good solid buy. I would recommend it for a bedroom tv or compact environment like and apartment.

I wouldn’t call myself an audiophile but I am particular when it comes to sound, previously I used a 7.1 system with full range speakers around the room for surround sound but my wife always disliked the space they took and how intrusive it all looked.
I was really looking forward to being able to try and find a decent soundbar that didn’t sound tinny or break up and crackle. Every soundbar I had heard up to this point disappointed in one aspect or another but now I think I have finally found a soundbar that will let me ditch (or move to a media room in the basement) the speakers and still be satisfied.
I haven’t been able to go over all the options this soundbar can provide (Since I do not have a pair of bose headphones for testing the personal sound option but all the other features come though and boy do they make a difference. Enabling the AI sound mode allows for dialog to be brought up to the forefront and no longer need to constantly fiddle with a balance between sounds and voice while the tru sound gives a good surround experience no matter content source.
I will have to look out for the bose bass module as while not lacking the ability to add some extra bass is always great, simple to unbox and connect I do wish there were a couple more ports to connect via as the soundbar relies on an optical port or an HDMI audio return channel as a source but it would be nicer to have an HDMI port as a pass though incase your TV/Receiver doesn’t support the eARC connection.
