I’ve been very pleased with this purchase. It replaced a similar older model and is working well. Installation was a breeze, and it connected to my wifi easily. With the downloadable Canon app, scanning is a breeze. I saw a video online which gave directions such as “Press this button, press that button, hit x 3 times, press more buttons…” and I couldn’t belive how many steps it gave to scan. But with the app, you just hit “scan” and it scans. The app connected quickly to this model. I’ve read that printing is very slow, but printing in black is quite fast.
I’ve also been happy with how easily it prints saved documents stored on my phone via wifi from the living room to the office without me having to go to the printer each time. All my documents whether printed, scanned, or copied, have come out crisp and legible.
The nice red color and the light weight is a plus.
The only slight downside is that installing the cartridges is physically more difficult than earlier models, but this is not a deal breaker, and most users probably won’t be bothered by this. Seniors like myself will probably find it a minor inconvenience.

Every single time it’s turned on, it needs to be completely set up all over again. It can’t be found, it can’t connect, I hate this thing so much I want to drop kick it out my back door. Never have I ever had such an issue just getting this thing to work like intended. Not to mention the completely useless and waste of time app you need to make this thing work. I’ve had this giant paperweight for over a year and I’ve printed less than 4 times with it because it DOESN’T WORK properly.
Complete and utter waste of time and money.

Admittedly, set-up for this CANON MG3600 PIXMA PRINTER was not intuitive – but after referring to 3 YouTube videos, I got it up & running. I successfully printed 5 return labels, applauded my abilities, wildly denigrated the whining idiots who’d posted negative reviews, and went on with life.
2 months later, I attempted a print job using both sides of the paper, and it jammed. I cleared the jam, reset the printer, cleared the job from my laptop, and initiated the same job anew – this time asking for print on a single side. The printer – still fully, wirelessly, connected – spit out 2 clean sheets of paper, made a few noises, stopped, and generated an error message on my laptop indicating printer was jammed.
I went to the Canon website and read their troubleshooting suggestions. I also spent some time on Google, where the following phrases auto-populated in rapid succession:

I began troubleshooting.
I took printer back to factory resets, reset the printer, cleared the jam, cleared the job from my laptop, and initiated the single-sided job anew. I tried calling the CANON HELP LINE. After 20 minutes navigating the IVR, the uncontrollable, hysterical laughter started. I unplugged the printer, lifted it approx 4 ft in the air, and slammed in into the floor.
I’m not optimistic about further troubleshooting.

Where to begin. 1st, we have had this model of printer for five years. After thousands of trouble free copies, scans and printing documents my first printer had a massive paper jam which caused me to have to take the machine completely apart. After reassembly the printer heads were not aligned and for the life of me I couldn’t get past this error. After much searching for an affordable printer (original printer cost $40 on sale) and going to my daughter’s house every time I had to print something I came across this deal on Amazon. Only $10 more than originally paid five years ago seemed like a great deal. I had seen the same printer going for up to $120 elsewhere. Plus I already had new ink cartridges for this model and believe me when I say they’re not cheap.
2nd, I read ALL kinds of reviews stating how hard this printer is to hook up to the internet or the instructions weren’t clear or the printer is cheaply made. The list went on and on about avoiding this printer. I used to pay attention to those reviews but as I’ve gotten older and wiser I have come to the conclusion that you can’t always trust those reviews. Some people can’t be satisfied no matter how easy or good something is. I got my new printer today. It took me about ten minutes to set it up including unboxing it. The instructions were straightforward, easy to follow and understand. The printer printed my first of many to come documents without any difficulty and beings I had just put new ink cartridges in the old printer before it broke I now have two each extra ink cartridges. What a great deal. I know from experience that this printer is an exceptional piece of equipment and look forward to many years of printing, scanning and copying. I read a review that said this printer doesn’t scan and that is wrong. This printer, the PIXMA MG3620 does everything a home would need INCLUDING scanning. All done from my smart phone which is exactly what I need and want. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone needing an all in one inkjet printer.

This is a replacement purchase. I like the printer and the quality of the printing. Of course the cartridges are really the expensive part. I had difficulty with the bluetoothj setting so I use a cord.

It’s a nice looking printer. Very sturdy and well built. Setting it up was normal. YouTube has some tutorials and l followed the steps without an issue. The problem is two days later when l wanted to print something, the printer was not responding. This printer did not include the cable that connects the printer directly onto the computer. I once again asked Google why my wireless printer was not responding. Someone mentioned that if you connect your printer to the computer you should solve this issue. I had an old Canon cable that connects to the computer and proceeded to connect it and lo and behold, it started printing with no issue. So be sure to have that cable handy.

Mi novia me pidió que le ayude a buscar una impresora multifuncional y terminé comprando esta. Imprime con facilidad documentos que tenga en su iPhone de manera inalámbrica así cmo archivos que tenga en su laptop. Configurarla no fue nada difícil ya que el software con el que viene se encarga de todo. Funciona con iPads y iPhones sin necesidad de hacerle ajustes extras pero con tabletas y celulares Android si será necesario descargar el app de Mopria Print pero no es algo complicado. Para uso doméstico funciona a la perfección y es muy práctica. En la cuestión de los cartuchos adquirí un kit de recarga y quedaron a la perfección. El único detalle que para recargar los cartuchos se tienen que seguir las indicaciones de recarga al pie de la letra para que te queden bien los cartuchos. Siendo que ya tengo algo de experiencia recargando mis propios cartuchos este proceso me toma 10 minutos y no he tenido problemas. Obvio esa es una alternativa a comprar cartuchos nuevos cada vez que se acabe la tinta de los cartuchos que estés utilizando.
Dada la facilidad de uso de esta impresora, la calidad de impresión y su precio la recomiendo ampliamente.
