Duradero, muy cómoda e incluso protege en las actividades diarias del trabajo.

Very warm, high quality vest. Stylish cut. I will say the fit on this is a little small compared to other Carhartt items, the large is a little snug on me (5’10 195lbs) when wearing a hoodie underneath. Sits right at the belt line in the front
Kandis Sade –
Bought this for my son. Vest fit perfect. Good quality. No problems.

Let’s get sizing out of the way first. I am 5’10” near 300lbs with a belly and broad shoulders. I own several Carhartt coats in 2XL and they are roomy and I can wear layers underneath, so ordering the vest was a learning curve. They are short and considerably smaller. I believe they are designed to be a snug fit. I ordered a 3XLT vest with knowledge of this ahead of time. I still am able to wear layers underneath, but it is a closer fit, while remaining comfortable. At 5’10” I have a 30” inseam so my torso is slightly longer than average making the length on the vest just cover my belt.
The vest itself is a stiff unwashed duck cotton. It was initially too stiff so I ran it through a normal wash and dry cycle. It shrank a little and fluffed the lining a bit causing it to fit tighter, but after wearing it a couple times it loosened back up. The outer shell is still a bit stiff, but better and improving with every wear. The interior is a smooth quilted material and is very warm. A sweatshirt in combination with this vest is perfect for outdoor activities in the low 40’s. The pockets are lined, large and very warm. After a single wash, rain still beads up and runs off the vest. The zipper is robust and so far no issues. I am often in and out of buildings in the PNW winter and I find this vest to be perfect for that. Warm enough with a sweatshirt outdoors and not too hot when in my truck or store for short periods.
Despite sizing oddities, I find the vest to be fantastic. Oh and I can comfortably wear this 3XLT vest under my 2XL regular full swing classic coat. Just as an example of how different the fit is between vest and coats.

These vests are the last of what I recall of “old Carhartt” from when I was younger. Their stuff has always run roomy, but in recent years the company has aggressively attempted to separate their workwear and high price high margin fashion business. They’ve done this by oversizing their workwear, and being more careless about the quality of materials and trim. The Detroit jacket and the barn coat you could wear on a job site and still look good for your lady after. Not anymore, they fit like parachutes and the lining detaches from the shell after a handful of washes. The Detroit’s plastic pocket zipper and dropline hems look cheap and slovenly. It’s comfortable to move outside in and cheap to replace but that’s about it.
Not so here. This is the same V01 I bought in decades past, with warm lining and a tightly woven canvas shell. The zipper pull is a bit different, but still high quality. I have two, one from Nicaragua and the other from Mexico. They are indistinguishable.
Get this one before they replace it with something worse and mark it up as “Carhartt WIP” at triple the price.

Really high quality nice vest. Large fit perfectly but it recommended XXL be aware.

On est jamais déçu avec du Carhartt !
Attention avec les tailles US : du L américain correspond à du XL français.
olivier ANTOINE –
Excellent quality Carhartt work wear. I’m 6’3” and 220lb. My usual XL was absolutely massive. I returned it and got L which is great. I would recommend going down a size from your normal size when ordering one of these.

Carhartt usually fits me weird. I have a thin athletic build. I’m 5’10 and 150lbs. A small fits every where but shoulders chest and back; way too tight. A medium usually fits in the shoulders, chest, and back and is way too big every where else. This vest fit me the best. I tried the medium and it was too big; especially around the lower torso. The small fit well but if it was any shorter or much smaller, like if it shrank in the wash much, it probably wouldn’t fit. As it is now I can fit a t-shirt and hoodie underneath and it fits a little snug but still comfortable.
The quality of this vest is outstanding and it seems very durable. The zipper is heavy duty. The front pockets are good sized and warm. The vest itself is really warm. I live in Kentucky and it’s been kind of a mild winter. I’m warm natured but I’ve worn just the vest and a short sleeve shirt most of the winter. At work I’ve had to drive a forklift for a little over an hour at around 35-45° and with a thin shirt, the vest and gloves and a sock hat, I was plenty warm. Also, with the front pockets you get 2 layers of duck and 2 layers of insulation which adds a lot of warmth.
This vest is really awesome and if it shrank much, I would buy a bigger size and have it tailored to fit, that’s how much I like it.
The only negative things I can say is the way that carhartt cuts their clothes the sizing can be difficult if you have an athletic build. That is still an issue with this vest but not nearly as bad as other carhartt I’ve tried. The other issue I’ve noticed is with rigidity of the duck fabric. While seated, if you’re wearing the vest and it’s zipped up, the vest gets pushed up to wear the collar is above your jaw and the bottom of the arm holes starts digging into your arm pits. Even if you pull the zipper down a quarter of the way, it’s still a problem. It may get better with washing but I don’t know because I haven’t washed mine yet. Even with those negatives, I still think the best is awesome. If you wanted to wear it all the time while driving, like as truck driver, and need to have it zipped, it might not be for you.

I’m a heavy equipment field mechanic. Never thought of myself as a vest guy, but it works good when you need to reach in tight spaces. Those spaces where wearing a winter coat, would make it impossible. Fits good. I wish it were a little longer.
Kandis Sade –
Nice robust vest. I mean, it’s carhartt what else can you say?!

My dad has worn the same style for years and we just keep replacing them when they turn into rags. Warm in any weather and very comfortable. Very durable and will last for years! Worth every penny!
