Despite these gloves having good reviews which was the reason I purchased them, I think they deserve 3 stars for the following reasons:
    1) They’re rated for 39F-57F (4C-14C) weather which I think is fair having pushed their limits riding in 37F dry conditions for 6 miles (10K) and feeling a bit of discomfort.
    2) There’s a big gap in fit between S and M sizes. My hand circumference corresponds to M; however the finger tips are too long. Small would have worked but I could barely get my hands in them when I tried that size.
    3) Possibily due to 2), the touch screen tech on the index finger works poorly and is unreliable, even when pulling the glove further up my hand for a tighter fit.
    4) Although I recognize that the gloves are rated as water-resistant and windproof, I did hope for a little more protection from cold wearing them on a 1 hr run on a 50F (10C) rainy day. However, once they became fairly damp it was game over.

I can’t stand bulky cycling gloves, so I love these Castellis because they fit nice and tight, almost like a second skin. Another of my pet peeves are cycling gloves that have no grips on the fingers, making using the brake levers difficult when they are slippery from fog or rain. The Castellis have little abrasive strips on the fingers that make using the brake levers confident, even wet weather.

I’ve used these in weather down to the mid 40’s so far, and they have kept my hands nice and warm.

A very good “midrange” glove. I’m using it in the 35-45 Degrees range. Surprisingly warm considering it is fairly thin and not bulky. Well made, holding on after quite a few hundred miles. Size fits as expected, neither too large nor too small.

As with many gloves the fit of the fingers is very important. These are way too long in the fingers for the size of the palm. Nice material, very warm looking but returned bc fit was so poor.

The good: molds well to hands, keeps hands warm in non-extreme cool/cold weather, plenty of dexterity. They also look sharp. The not-so-good: they’re pretty tight and fairly difficult to put on, they do not have touch-screen fingertips. Overall, I like them for riding in my neck of the woods (San Francisco Bay Area).

wear them to commute to work with a temperature within their supposed range, and my fingers get completely cold.
tried them under a very light rain and in no time I can squeeze water from them by making a fist.

Just for anyone who wants to know the meaning of these words, these gloves aren’t waterproof. In a downpour, your hands will get wet. But in light rain or drizzles, these gloves keep your hands dry unless you are out there all day. I use these for commuting in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle Area) in the winter where it drizzles every day. My commute is 35-50 minutes. It does the job – my hands sweat from the warmth even when it’s mid 40s. Colder or rainier than that, these gloves aren’t recommended – they are pretty warm but they’re also pretty thin, so there’s only so much the thin fleece lining can do. They are very good against the wind – very impressive on that front.

The thickness is also a plus most of the time – I like that I can use zippers and hit buttons quite easily. But don’t expect to tie shoelaces or do anything with fine motor skills. These gloves run a little short in the fingers to me – and I don’t have piano player’s hands. I think for most these will run small. The damping system for your wrist is placed pretty well, but that is highly dependent on how it fits your hand – for me, it’s in the right place – maybe a little too high on the palm and could be more towards the wrist. That said, the effect isn’t huge – if you have wrist problems and you really need a lot of damping, you may need more cushion. I rate these 4 stars – they do everything they claim to do, and do it pretty well. But they aren’t cheap, so they should.

Very comfortable. Easy to get on and off. Hands don’t get balmy when it’s borderline too warm and hands don’t get too cold when you’re just below the temp range these are designed for. Great design, get them.

Really happy with these gloves. Did a really good job at 3 degrees Celsius to keep my hands warm. Won’t completely stop the cold from getting in especially with fog and freezing temperatures BUT the only thing that will do that are proper snow gloves and they’re not fit for use on a bike. So for bike gloves these are great.

Really nice gloves but really for 50 degrees weather. Look to be well made and very comfortable. Expensive but really nice.
