This Cerave retinol serum absorbs quickly and does not have any smell to it. It is lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy. It spreads easily and you don’t need to use a lot to feel like you have it on. So far it’s been great

I’m finally giving this a review after using up my first bottle and I actually reordered my second one. That’s how much I like it. I have sensitive skin and I hate the feeling of residual residue on my skin, especially on my face after applying anything (hence why I rarely wear make up). I’m in my early 40s and noticed that I’ve been getting sun spots (which I like to think are “freckles”) on my checks which were never there before. I don’t buy anything before reading reviews or doing research on it. had enough position info on it that I took the chance.
Price was decent for the amount. One pump goes along way and does cover the entire face and under my chin area. Very light feel on the skin and absorbs fairly fast. No linger smell/fragrance, which is a huge plus for me! No irritation or side effects, but do note that if you exfoliate or cleanse your face too often then applying this there will be a slight burning sensation (because this did happen to me) and it does go away in a few mins. I used to use this everyday right after I shower in the evening, but I upped it to morning and evening. Remember to put on some sort of sunblock. Follow its instructions.
I like the results that it’s giving me. My face looks more even, toned, moisturized, and my pores seem to have diminished a little in appearance since I first used it. I don’t get little dry patches on skin on my checks anymore due to the harsh water here in Houston, TX. Again, it’s really based on your skin routine, how consistent you are, how well you follow its instructions, and be realistic with your expectations. Overall, I like the product very much and will continue to use it so I hope it never gets discontinued 🙂

I’m a bit skeptical on these products but after using for a week I notice smoother skin and my pores seem smaller! That was my big issue. As I’ve aged my pores seem bigger and I was amazed how this helped!

I bought the CeraVe Retinol Serum because I wanted a retinol product in my skincare routine and I trust this brand. I have it all, combination super oily skin that can also get dry/flakey, textured, acne scarring, uneven tone, large pores, acne prone, sensitive skin. This is my honest review after using the whole bottle.
The price is fair, the product isn’t too thick and goes on evenly/smoothly, dries well on the skin without any residue, unscented, and didn’t irritate or overdry my sensitive skin.
I personally didn’t notice any drastic results, but my skin didn’t have any negative reactions either. My texture and scarring is pretty significant so I ended up switching to a stronger Retinoid which helps me better.
All in all, this might be helpful for minor skin resurfacing but it just wasn’t strong enough for me. I would recommend it still though if you only need some minor improvements since it is much less harsh on the skin than Retinoids and is easier to access.

This product did technically do its job, however, it left my skin really dry and irritated. I noticed that the dark spots would start fading in a week or so however it is very drying. I noticed that I would get more cystic acne and when I put on moisturizer it would burn. I wouldn’t recommend this to someone who has dry or maybe combination skin.

I really like this product for my 56 yr old skin. It’s gentile but it works. I haven’t been using it for very long but my skin appears to be a bit brighter and smoother!
