Well made and attractive. The band was easy to size with a tool I bought from Amazon. I will buy another Citizens watch.

I purchased this Citizen watch as a replacement for my Timex Indiglo that I have had for 15 years because the indiglo feature no longer functions & they don’t make the indiglo in my preferred style anymore. I will miss the backlight, but I find that I am not needing it as much as I once did. My Timex still runs and I will use it while camping or doing yardwork.

I wanted a comfortable, bracelet style with the deployment clasp. I like the two-tone metal with the blue face as you can tell by the photo. This is an attractive, comfortable watch and is easy to read…which was a must for me. It is a little more substantial than my Timex, weighing about an ounce more and was of course, more expensive, but I consider it an upgrade. I took it to a local jeweler and had 2 links removed for a perfect fit. NOTE: I asked them to remove both links from one side of the bracelet so that the clasp under-fold centers better on my wrist. I am looking forward to owning a watch that does not require a battery change.
ALSO: The procedure for registering the watch does require the numbers on the back of the case which are very tiny. I knew it would not be a problem for me because I have a jeweler’s loupe.

This watch is a “Diamond in the Rough”! It’s reasonably priced, and looks way more expensive than it is.

I’m a little afraid to write a review for this watch as the Seiko self winding watch I bought about a year ago stopped working shortly after I wrote a glowing review.

As others have said, this IS a beautiful watch. I love the dark blue dial and the gold frame around the dial. The hands and “numbers” on the face of the watch are also gold. And, I like that I don’t have to replace the battery. The battery watches I have had always seemed to conk out at the worst times.

I agree with the reviewer who wrote that it would have been much more convenient if the instructions had been included IN the box. My box had a card in it that said the instructions were includedl They weren’t. Yes, it’s nearly impossible to read the numbers needed on the back of the watch so that you can get online and get the directions. I have had the watch nine days and I still haven’t done it. Luckily, the watch was working when I took it out of the box. I haven’t put it under any lights or done any of the things I have read that you are supposed to do in the reviews. I do try to make sure it’s uncovered while on my arm. I wear it at night too. I take it off only to shower and cover it with something so it doesn’t get steamed. I had a beautiful watch that was ruined when I left it uncovered in a small bathroom while I took a shower.

I have a larger than average wrist–I usually have to get bracelets of 7-1/2 inches rather than seven inches. However, this watch has a slightly loose fit on my wrist–exactly the way I like it. I want a watch that slides around on my arm a little like a bracelet does. If you have an average or small wrist–or like the watch to stay in one place you will need to get links removed by a jeweler or watch repairer.

My dad who recently died at 94-1/2 years loved watches. He had many very nice watches, but he prized his Citizens Eco-Drive watches. Maybe because he got such a good deal on them–he loved a bargain. But I heard the story of how he bought those watches many times and how wonderful they are. That’s what got me looking at the Citizen Eco-Drive watch.

For now, I am very pleased. If I have any problems I promise I will be back to change my review. I changed my review when the Seiko watch was giving me fits and I will change it for this watch review if necessary.

Oh, and I also agree that the date feature is almost useless unless you are eagle-eyed. I didn’t buy the watch for that feature, but someone who does want to know the date might not be happy.

Got it today. I wish details of the watch like case number and serial number would have been included. To read the numbers on the back of the. case requires a magnifying glass and very bright light. The face of the watch is a very dark blue which generally looks black unless you have the watch in bright light. I set the time and the date. Included instructions would have been nice. I searched the internet. The watch
Looks nice but I don’t love it. It’s a work and casual watch. I like that it doesn’t require batteries. The date is hard to read but I manage. I have an almost 8” wrist and the band fits well, not snug, slightly loose.

Lovely watch, very lightweight and comfortable. I needed to have two links taken out of the bracelet, and that was done easily and inexpensively by a local jeweler. You can put this watch on and forget about it, it’s so comfy to wear and looks great. I had been wearing a large clunky watch and this is much better. Wearing it daily, no complaints whatsoever.

Beautiful Watch. Love the black watch face and the two-tone band. Very well made, beautifully packaged. Has a very high-end look and feel.
This watch will work well as both an everyday watch and a dress watch.
