I liked the previous Civivi knife (a Bo) that I bought a while back, so I decided to try another. I liked the look of the carbon fiber and copper foil in epoxy, and, since the price came down, it was not a big risk. I’ve had it just a few weeks now, and it is my current favorite EDC. I use mine at home for random stuff, but at work I use it to cut plastic banding for steel fence posts, to cut plastic wrap on pallets, and other warehouse tasks. It is rugged: in a bit of a hurry with a customer standing there, I levered the blade through some green plastic banding against some fence posts. It was solid and remains solid. It’s a beefy knife, but very comfortable in the hand.
The pocket clip is tight and holds the knife securely in place. It is right-handed, tip-up carry. The clip can be switched to the other side. The action is smooth and tight, and remains solid with no play in the blade, even after some serious use over the last month. It is easy to open with the right hand using the flipper tab. The liner lock is also easy to operate with the thumb. Yes, it can be easily opened and closed using one hand, excellent for when you may be up on the ladder or have the left hand otherwise occupied. Further, it can be opened and closed easily even when wearing either work or nitrile gloves.
The epoxy handles are muted, and not showy, and I’ve had occasion to scuff it a few times: it has stood up to the abuse really well. After a few weeks, having dropped it on a dirty concrete floor multiple times, the epoxy has held up and resisted scratching quite well. The black finish on the blade and clip is pretty hardy as well, though that has begun to wear through. The handle shape is very comfortable. The blade shape is attractive with plenty of steel going all the way out to the tip. It is stout but practical. The blade grind has a graceful line that is attractive and leaves enough metal in the blade to ensure its strength. There is a very short edge bevel, probably made possible by the blade geometry. This contributes nicely to the overall ruggedness.
The blade steel is quite good. I have a Rada sharpener (the one with the overlapping carbon steel discs) that I pass this knife through every few days and it takes a quick and sharp edge, ready for whatever work I will set it to. When recently sharpened, the blade goes through plastic wrap on the pallets easier than paper. After a few days, it is still sharp but does require some quick attention to get the edge back to that condition.
This is an attractive knife, rugged and stout, with a unique-looking set of scales. Its design and operation were well-considered. The blade grind is excellent. It is a fantastic knife for work chores, and the price came down just enough to tick off that the final box on my checklist and convince me to put my money down on the barrel-head. This is a good knife. I am quite pleased with the purchase.

This is a new style of knife for me. The color, style and brand. They have great reviews. They are at Walmart now. Few awards. Some really cool designers. It feels great. Fits like a glove. The size is nice. The black Nitro! Not a fan of the see through part of the knife. Only real dislike. The color tho. I have never seen anything like it before so I can overlook being able to see through it. Seems like it’s going to last a long time. The lifetime warranty is something I really happen to like when buying something is extremely sharp and it looks very durable. I’ve seen a few reviews on YouTube. I had to check it out.

I’ve had this knife for about a week now as of 1/1/2022. Shipping took a little longer than I expected, but what I received was well worth the wait. This knife arrived in a small white box that’s really easy on the eyes, and I was pleasantly surprised by the included soft case, something I haven’t seen with other knives I’ve bought around this price point. Inside the case my Praxis came with a white cleaning cloth, a sticker, and instruction papers.
I was already impressed with the way this product was packaged, and even more impressed with the product itself. My Praxis arrived razor sharp out of the box with an effortlessly smooth action, and locks very well with zero play. The blade is made of 9Cr18MoV, a high chromium, mid-high carbon steel that has pretty good edge retention and corrosion resistance in my experience. The scales on this knife are made of G10 and feel good in my hand. I purchased mine with OD green scales and they contrast nicely with the gold liner. The Praxis has a nice weight to it and doesn’t feel too light or too heavy, but just weighty enough.
I carry mine with me daily and this knife has already proven itself useful at work, in the field, and even at home in the kitchen. I’m almost always skeptical of knives at this price point, but CIVIVI has a winner with the Praxis. I like mine so much I’ve ordered a matching Mastodon to pair with it.

I tend to buy expensive knives…and then lose them. I’ve had a number of Benchmades, my last over 300 dollars; it lasted six months before I lost it traveling. So, I went looking for less expensive. I am very impressed with the praxis. It’s thinner, lighter, and is packaged better than knives six or seven times the price. It opens easily and is perfect for the things I use it for: cutting tape on boxes, opening packages, cooking outdoors. It slices like a good kitchen knife, and I quickly improved the edge out of the box with a standard sharpener And while I haven’t lost it (yet), I can buy eight of these for the price of one of the others. It’s also aesthetically pleasing, which I appreciate. I don’t generally write reviews, but I am that impressed. For the price, really, at any price, you cannot go wrong with this little knife. Will it last twenty years? I’ll never know because I’ll lose it in one or two! The knife reminds me of my Bertucci field watch: for function and ergonomic comfort, it’s worth several times its price.

Great quality folding knife

First the look. Colors and design, earth tones looks great. The weight of the knife is worth noting. Feels right and feels balanced. It’s not a super light knife like Benchmade is pushing out now. I’ve always been a benchmade knife owner. They are my go too and I own quite a few of them now. Sadly, most of their knifes now are super light, feels strange and unnatural and their designs seems to have changed.
I had this knife in my cart for a while and kept looking at it and reading the reviews and because I’m traveling right now. I thought I’ll pick this up. Love it! I’m surprised. Very strong, it opens fast!!! Very fast! And it’s smooth. Feels as smooth as any high end or custom knife out there. Mine came out of the box very sharp. If you’re on the edge – pardon the pun! About buying this knife. Totally worth it.

Me gusta la forma y tamaño, después de usarla sostenida al bolsillo por su clip durante un mes el clip se aflojó,esto te obliga a buscar opciones y para lo que e escuchado de la marca es un gasto obligado.

Excellent flipper. Sharp out of the box. Perfect centered blade. I like that blade is virgin. There is no marking on it. Only thing scales are little thin and I got a large fist so handle came little smaller then I expected
