The Coleman RoadTrip LXX fits in this case very tightly. It took a while to find the interior storage pockets. They are on the bottom of teh case when the case is laying down plat. The are closed with two velcro straps in the center of the case. I took the grates out of tehg rill an manages to fit one grate in each of teh two pockets. It was a very tight fit, but they did manage to get in there. I took the handle off the grill and stored it inside the grill itself since it doesn’t fit in the external net bag. I put the grill in with the wheel side of the grill in the hweel side of the case, It is a snug fit to get the top side of the case over the folded legs of the grill, but it does make it. Finally, I strapped the regulator in a small towel and two propane canisters in a small towel and stored them inside the case at the top end in each of the two corners. Then I zipped the case up tight and rolled it around on its wheels a bit. It moves along nicely and there are no rattles so everything seems to be snugly in place. I think the case will be a good storage place for the grill when it is not in usefor a long period and when you want to transport it to a different location, like a camping trip or other vacation. It certainly isn’t something you want to wrestle with each time you use the grill. Once the grill is all zipped up inside the case, I tried to put a propane canister in the net bag as shown on the box the cover came it. That’s a joke. There’s no way a cansiter is going to fit or much of anything else for tahtmatter. The net is really tight and my guess is that it would fray and tear with very little use if anything bulky was stored in it. I think it will serve it’s porpose but it is a bit of a hassle to get everything tucked away.

Bought one zipper broke returned it for another one and the zipper broke. Never made it outside. The zipper is cheap and no matter how you baby it zipping it up it breaks. Zero stars.

Once grill season is over, this will definitely protect my Coleman Roadtrip 225.

I recently purchased the Coleman Road Trip LXE grill. This bag feels pretty durable and completely seals up the grill. It has its own wheels on the bottom edge of the bag. The bag will also allow you to stand the grill upright for storage (it seems there is some rigid plastic on the bottom that helps it balance).
I read some conflicting reviews about how the LXE grill fits compared to other models. I can fit the grill in easily after merely removing the plastic handle. It’s a snug fit, but the Velcro straps hold the grill in place and the zipper is not stretched.
I would recommend this bag to protect your investment. The handles on the top and bottom make it easy to load, the wheels make it easy to move, and the bag keeps your storage/transportation mess free.

From one fellow camper to another here is my review. I’ve read all of the other reviews and will summarize the things i personally found important.
I was afraid to buy this at first because I thought that it would be too small…turns out it is NOT too small. I have the road trip LXE model and yes the bottom handle must be removed. No big deal it’s quick and easy, and can be easily stored along the side of the grill in the bag.
Not only did I get the grill in but I was able to put the two original grates plus a burner ring and griddle in the inner compartments, for a total of four cooking surfaces inside. I will be putting the hose in the outside mesh holder.
And lastly, (something a manual would help with) how to tell which way is it going in? I tried it both ways and the way that seemed to work better was the wheels at the end with the wheels for the bag. If you look closely you’ll see that there’s almost an area for them.
Overall I’ve grown to be pleased about the purchase we will see how long the case wheels and handles last but it’s nice to have something to protect the item and keep it in good shape. I hope you enjoyed this review and happy cooking.

Good strong carry case. In this picture I can put full size griddle and the bbq. You have to take off the handle but does fit everything inside just take a bit of effort. Hopefully the material will stretch out over time but happy with product. Inside is the Coleman 285 and full size roadtrip griddle

Good quality. But the fit is snug. I assume as it’s used more it will be easier to put the bbq back in. Note as with other reviewers I must take my handle off and store separately in order to get it in.
Update: a year in and a few camping trips since. It’s much easier to get the grill in to the bag. It’s now relaxed enough to fit the grill in without the handle quickly. (The first time felt like wrestling an alligator). The bag seems to be handling storage and transport well and I like the peace of mind knowing that the grill is safe when heading to our campsites.

Update: After now using this for Fall tailgating, I like it even less than my initial 2-star review. The grill is fine, but the cover is terrible. I had to move this to 1-star because it really is a pathetic effort by Coleman. It is only a dust cover for the grill at best and then it is difficult to get the grill to fit snuggly.. The bag does not have room for the large handle which is also the ‘foot’ of the grill stand when using it. It also has nowhere to store the oddly shaped propane regulator and tank connector. The latter is an expensive part and will be easily damaged if not protected. As an aside, since you cannot store these in the storage bag, they can also be forgotten when you are in a hurry to head off to your event. What is the point of having a storage bag that cannot hold all of the basic parts? Someone will undoubtedly try to state that the mesh ‘pocket’ on the front can be used, but that is worthless for anything other than a manual. Anything bigger will potentially dent the grill and also, anything in that pocket has zero protection from being bumped or damaged itself. This is as close to a worthless product as I have seen. Coleman should be ashamed and should send an apology with refunds to everyone who bought this.
For all of the ingenuity that Coleman put into the folding grill, then put almost none into this bag. It is basically a very expensive dust/scratch cover. The material and quality are fine, but you will be sorely disappointed in the ‘ease of use’ and ‘helpfulness’ department. First of all, you have to remove the handle to store the grill in it. The handle comes on and off easy enough with a button, but there is not an easy place to store the handle afterward. The mesh pock in front is pretty much worthless other than maybe a wipedown cloth something than can be hit my everything without damage. The right answer would have been to have the grill’s handle become the bags handle via an opening in the top of the bag with a Velcro strap to secure it. That would have made it taller and easier to pull as well, because this bag is short. I would have even thought that the grill’s wheels could have been incorporated into the bag such that those wheels would stick-out and become the wheels for the ‘bagged’ grill. Instead, the bag has some other wheels built-in, and they are not at all designed for anywhere that tailgating or camping will happen. They will work fine for pavement, but any dirt, mud, pebbles, and it will be a pain. Basically they are oversized luggage wheels. The storage space for other items is also paltry. Coleman could have incorporated a couple padded pockets for small propane canister, but no dice. The box shows a propane canister stuck in the mesh on the front of the bag which is silly and won’t make it through a single trip without destroying the mesh and leaving those canisters very exposed to unwanted strikes by other equipment. Lastly, the bag is just canvas, and there is no padding. Again, this is a rolling dust cover designed for indoor (storage, not grilling obviously) or patio/parking lot use only. Camping or tailgating anywhere other than a parking lot, and you will be spending more time cleaning muck out of the wheels and cursing Coleman than enjoying your grill. I’ll give it two stars as a dust/storage cover, but I really feel like Coleman got very lazy here. They blew and opportunity to do something very cool, and instead went for the money grab on a weak effort. Someone needs to tell them to actually have their new products group talk to real customers before they push this stuff out the door.
