Does the job

I love this little chopper! I use it all the time for chopping veggies and making quick sauces. It’s really a great little appliance. I’m very happy with it!
Healing From Inside Out –
I will be sending it back because I’m not impressed with the quality.

We bought this product to save time with dinner preparation, but I also didn’t want something too large and cumbersome – and this ended up working perfectly for us!
We use it multiple times a week. It’s very easy to use depending on whether I need vegetables to be cut coarsely or ginger/garlic to be minced fine. And after use, we can either easily hand wash it or put it through our high temp dish washer.
The unit itself looks really attractive amongst all our other white and stainless steel appliances. My only complaint, is that I wish when the top cup was secured, the handle would be fixed at either the 3:00 or 9:00 position instead of 6:00 where it just looks a bit awkward. Very minor complaint for an otherwise perfect product.

I got this to replace a sad and broken Kitchenaid model that I got because it matched my mixer. That was a mistake – such bad design of the lid, the blade, the latch… if I’d bought it from Amazon I would have posted a twelve page review with pics.
THIS little beauty? The lid is designed with no place for flour or crumbs to lodge. You can easily clean every crevice that food can get into. The blade stays put when you tilt the bowl, and it assembles in a way that doesn’t leak out the hole. This one is smaller than my last one, and lighter, but the suction cup feet help keep it from “walking.”
Easy to assemble, easy to clean, powerful enough to turn my soaked dried chickpeas into perfect falafel mix .. what is not to love?

I just used my new food processor for the first time. I noticed a few things that could be done better. The first and most important thing I noticed is that the gear mechanism in the base isn’t sealed to keep liquid from going down into the motor. The bottom of the bowl must be thoroughly dried before placing it back onto the base. The inside of the bowl is well sealed when it is put together, so I don’t think liquid will leak out of the bowl and into the motor. The paddles are open as well, and liquid could drip into the motor from the area around the paddles. The gear mechanism is all plastic, and seems rather flimsy. It may be fine. Time will tell. My last very minor gripe is that the lock for the bowl turns clockwise, and the lock for the little pieces in the food pusher turn counter clockwise. Hmm…Must have been designed by committee.
Now for all of the positives. I sliced sweet potatoes to roast. Worked like a charm, and so fast. The slices were nice and even in spite of me not using steady pressure. I shredded a cooked chicken breast with the S blade and that worked well and was really easy, too. And lastly, I shredded a whole block of cheddar cheese in two seconds. I only had a tiny little piece of cheese left on the top of the shredding disk. Clean up between tasks, and the final clean up was a breeze. I filled a sink with hot soapy water. Each time I took the bowl off I gave it a quick rinse, and then a good hard swish in the soapy water, and another rinse to get off the soap, and it was ready to go again. The only pain was having to carefully dry the bottom of the bowl each time. It is really nice that all the pieces fit in the bowl for storage. That is a nice feature.
Bottom line…I think in the long run I am really going to like this food processor. I bought it to do the prep work for making large batches of dog food for my best friend. I spent hours prepping the vegetables and potatoes for the first batch all by hand with a knife and box grater. Now it should be pretty easy. I bought the dicing attachment which I haven’t received yet. I will update my review after I have tried it out.
For the price, I think it is a good value. The next better food processor is 2-3 times the price.
Update: I received my dicing kit and just tried it out. I diced a whole bowl of carrots, sweet potatoes, and celery. It didn’t do a very good job. I had to stop and clean it out a couple of times. There was quite a bit of waste left on top of the blade. Cleaning out the little squares was a pain even with the cleaning tool. I probably won’t use it again. It just doesn’t work very well. My best friend is going to get her veggies shredded rather than diced. I wouldn’t recommend it. I also bought the small bowl, and that is very useful. I really like it.

I purchased the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder in March 2024, hoping it would be a reliable kitchen companion.
First Impressions
The first few uses were satisfactory; the chopper/grinder efficiently handled basic tasks like chopping vegetables and blending dressings.
Performance Issues
However, my experience took a turn after about two months of use. I had used the chopper/grinder around eight times, primarily for making hummus and salad dressings. During my eighth use, while making hummus, the unit abruptly stopped working. After about a 10-minute break, I tried to restart the unit. It worked for approximately 20 seconds before stopping again. I had to transfer the partially processed ingredients to a blender to finish the recipe. I reached out to Cuisinart customer service. To their credit, they were responsive and sent me a replacement unit.
Replacement Unit Woes
Unfortunately, the replacement unit also proved disappointing. On its very first use, it stopped processing halfway through the ingredients. I waited another 10 minutes, after which the unit restarted, allowing me to finish the task. This pattern of stopping and starting made the experience incredibly frustrating and time-consuming.
Customer Service
While I appreciate Cuisinart’s prompt response and willingness to send a replacement, the fundamental issue with the product’s performance remained unresolved. The issue would appear to be due to overheating, but it never felt warm when it stopped working.
Conclusion
Given my experience, I would not recommend the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder. Consistency and reliability are crucial for kitchen appliances, and this product fell short on both fronts. I got two months of use from the first unit and barely one use from the second unit…that’s unacceptable for any appliance, let alone one from Cuisinart. For anyone considering a compact chopper/grinder, I would suggest looking into other options that offer better performance and reliability. That’s what I am doing.

The smaller bowl is excellent when chopping ingredients that require smaller amounts. It assembles easily and works well.

This is just the right size for when I have to puree a few tomatoes , or make a garlic and ginger paste . Very easy to use and clean afterwords. The blades are strong enough to finely chop nuts and grind coffee beans . Great value for the money spent
