This is a great option for a roll-on type of bike rack that does not require you to lift your bike to get it out of the way-just apply your rear brake with your hand, pull backwards to get the front wheel up, and roll it onto the rack. It works great for most bikes, but a 2.6″ tire was not the best fit so larger tire mountain bikes will work but they tend to get stuck on the front and back in the V slots. Works super well with my gravel bike. It’s not 100% perfect- I used my own hardware because I didn’t care for the supplied stuff but I suppose it would work in a pinch. They include some drywall anchors, but I cannot imagine hanging this into drywall only. I also do not care for the swivel locking function that locks the swinging at 90 degrees, requiring you to reach in and release it. I don’t find the locking necessary, and having to unlock it every time I swing it from one side to the other (often enough!) is irritating. At the same time, the value is great, since this is a fraction of the price of the other swiveling racks, so I can deal with that easily. Great product!

Other than I probably could have used some extra hands it was easy enough to mount on the wall since I had open studs in this garage. When not in use you can pin the hanger in the upright position getting it out of the way since it hangs about head height. A second pull pin locks it straight out from the wall if that is what you want. Pull down on the pin and it releases the bike to swivel closer to the wall. If you do this you need that bracket down below to keep the lower tire below the upper. Make sure you are centered on the stud.

I ride recumbent bikes which are much heavier. My two wheeler weighs 50 lbs. I have tried vertical mounts before but they all required me to lift the bike up onto the hook and maneuver the wheel in order to get the hook through the spokes. I ordered the Cycling Deal Swivel Wall Mount after I saw I could just roll my bike onto the rack.

The unit is HEAVY! I didn’t expect the weight when it was delivered but it is seriously heavy duty. My previous mounts have all been simple hooks so I was pleasantly surprised. You MUST mount this to a stud in order to keep the bikes weight from pulling it out of the wall. You will also need to measure carefully so that it isn’t too high or low for your bike. I initially ordered the non-swivel rack but ended up using that on my trike. The swivel unit allows me to turn the bike so that it isn’t constantly getting bumped into when I walk past it. Aside from measuring the height you will need to measure side to side to make sure that you have enough clearance to swivel it. Once mounted it was so simple to use. Lift your front tire and roll the bike forward, that’s it! To swivel, simply pull the pin down and pivot.

I really like the Cycling Deal bike mount. It is VERY heavy duty and incredibly easy to use. Best of all, I don’t have to lift a 50lb bike up in the air and maneuver it to get it onto a hook! The swivel adds the bonus of keeping the bike more out of the way. This is a fantastic rack and, in my opinion, totally worth every penny of the $60 price tag.

I’ve tried several different types of bike storage mounts for my garage walls, ranging from hooks to brackets to devices that let you hoist the bike up to the ceiling. These work to varying degrees, but are also frequently dependent upon the bike’s geometry – meaning that if you don’t have a traditional triangular frame, you have to figure out some way to mount the bike without a top bar that’s parallel to the ground. This is a problem for most mountain bikes built in the last 10 years.

Coming across this mount, I was a bit skeptical as to how well it would work, but it works remarkably well with my Diamondback Yowie that has a 2.4″ wide front tire.

I like how I’m able to pull the center pin and swivel the bike to the side, taking up a bit more lateral space but less depth from my garage. The lower bracket has a surprisingly important function of keeping the rear tire in line with the mount for the front tire when the bike is swiveled.

Over the winter, I intend to switch out my other bike mounts for this style of mount.

This wall rack is heavy duty and strong. It was also much heavier than so other wall racks I’ve used in the past, but I don’t feel that is a minus, but a plus.
As more people start using e-bikes, the weight of bikes are getting heavier, which means that the hanging stands and hooks used to store bikes also need to get stronger and more durable which = heavy.
Once installed, you won’t look back. Definitely needs to be put into a stud or concrete wall anchor, depending on your storage space. Another reviewer mentioned this and I totally agree: Use common sense when installing and consider using mounting screws that appropriate for the weight of your bike. In my situation, the included screws were adequate to hang the rack and my Salsa Cutthroat. Taking time with proper installation of the rack will really pay off.
If you have a lighter weight road bike, you might be okay with using the drywall anchors, but I’d always try to find a stud first.
Being able to swivel the bike rack to the side allows for more usable storage space, especially if your space is small to begin with. A nice feature is that the hanger bracket folds up and out of the way when the rack is not in use.
This is a strong, durable hanging bike rack good for bikes weighing 50 lbs and up to 2.4 inch tire width. Highly recommend.
