I got this for my daughter. She liked the convenience and ease of use of the handheld stick. However, she said she felt it made her hair look too greasy and her shorter hairs still ended up like little fly-aways. So, it didn’t work perfectly as she’d hoped. However, everyone’s hair is different so it might work better for others.

This “HOLD.ME Styling Stick by DESIGNME | Vegan Hair Wax Stick for Women | Controls Frizz, Tame Flyaways & Smooths Hair” is the first time I have tried anything of this sort to help control my hair. I didn’t make the connection in my head when I was selecting this that was going to come in a deodorant style container. This by far is one of the least messy hair products I own, which makes it very nice and portable.
The ingredients are listed as “Jojoba Esters, Candellila Wax, Castor Seed Oil” well being paraben free. It is a fax based product so keep that in mind. There are most definitely more ingredients on the actual container. Several of which may be allergens to folks.
I have fairly curly hair, it looks like 2C/3A when I properly take care of it and not just try to put it in a bun. This product ironically I got to help put it in a bun. It does a fairly decent job with the flyaways that are extensive for me however I do find on humid days or very windy days I did need to reapply.

I really like this little stick! I was not aware that a product like this existed, so I was really excited to stumble across it. It is easy to apply and the size is perfect for taking everywhere with me. It has tamed my flyaways and frizz. It doesn’t make my hair crunchy or sticky like hair spray. It is malleable and it provides a light hold and also gives my hair a little shine. I apply it very lightly, so I do have to reapply throughout the day.
It’s a little spendy (currently $27 for 0.6oz), but the stick lasts quite awhile and works, so it’s worth it to me.

HAs a nice floral scent. The stick glides well onto my hair. The stick comes in a tube that you twist up or down. I love using this stick when putting my hair in a bun or ponytail. I always have baby hairs that fly around. This stick puts those baby hairs in place. Also like that it doesn’t look shiny on my hair.

I got this to tame the little flyaway hairs when you pull your hair back. I like the size, light scent and the compact roll up packaging. At first it seemed very light and I wasn’t sure it was going to hold, but it did. It didn’t look sticky or oily or leave noticeable residue.

It’s odorless, so it doesn’t change the way your hair smells. It’s very small and compact, making it great for on the go. It only takes one or two passes to get the flyaways to go down. The before and after photo just shows how well this works. It makes your hair feel slightly greasy, but nothing different than a lightweight product would feel. It doesn’t feel heavy at all in my hair and it took only a couple seconds to apply! Highly recommend!

Lovely concept to have as this type of “deodorant” styled applicator. The size is really tiny and unexpected. It smells decent for a hair care product, not bad and not overly strong. Applying this with the applicator is ideal as you don’t have to get the product on your hands, but it did not hold on my daughters straightened 4a/b hair nor my curly thick 4c hair. I also tried wrapping it with a headband to hold the product in place, but it still didn’t work. Im not sure how this will work on looser textured hair. But i do love some other products i have used from this company/brand. Just not this one.

I really like this styling stick, and love the twist up/down deodrant type container. This styling wax works great at holding down those fly away hairs around my face when I wear my hair in a ponytail or bun. It only takes a pass or two to contain the hairs. It did not look greasy or stiff when on my hair. I love the applicator that keeps the product from getting all over my hands, and it’s easy to take with me. Great product that I’ll buy again!
