I like my new file cabinet. It fits under my desk great, and looks great. Assembly is a bit tricky but take your time and it’s not bad. I got this assembled in about 1 hour by my self with a few breaks for my dogs – ya know they need food and outside time too…The trick with assembly is to not over tighten the screws/bolts. Tighten the screws/bolts when you are done.

Overall, I am satisfied with this file cabinet. My issue is limited to the inferior wheel construction. I purchased this product well over one year ago, and the plastic wheels broke. I do have this file cabinet stored in a room that is carpeted, which I’m sure contributed to the failure, as I have been moving the file cabinet regularly. I reached out to the manufacturer and they refused to replace the wheel for free, because the warranty period ended. I was told, if I wanted a new wheel, they would charge me $35 for shipping. I ended up purchasing metal wheels, and so far it’s doing the job! My advice to the manufacturer is to replace the plastic wheels with metal wheels.

I had moved over from a standard desk for work over to a adjustable standup desk. With that change I lost my storage space for my files as well as office supplies and needed a place to keep it all organized. After searching Amazon for a few days I found the listing for the DEVAISE 3 Drawer Rolling File Cabinet and made the decision to purchase the file cabinet.
The cabinet was shipped quickly, and arrived as expected. The directions were clear as well as all the hardware was labeled out nicely to understand the steps on putting together. It took around a half hour give or take to assemble the cabinet. Once assembled it was solid and does not feel cheap like it will fall apart. The drawers are tight and the wheels lock to ensure it does not move around if you do not want it to. The file drawer has a wheel as well to prevent the drawer from breaking or the cabinet from tipping. The hook on the side works well for hanging up your headset or headphones. The finish of the cabinet is a semi gloss and looks nice as well as matched the wood top of my desk nicely.
Overall, I have not found anything with the DEVAISE 3 Drawer Rolling File Cabinet that I do not like or had any issues with the quality of the cabinet. If you like quality, I would highly recommend purchasing this cabinet to use in your office setting or your home office.

I purchased this primarily as I needed a filing cabinet and liked the two top drawers that came with this. The rolling ability was a plus since I like reorganizing my space and that makes it easier. The product is a bit heavy. Medium size.
Out of the box everything was labeled and it just took a while flipping through the manual but the directions made sense to me. The metallic sliders also have the part name engraved into it which made it easy to sort what’s needed where.
My problem started as I was assembling the sides together of the cabinet and the smallest drawer. The white mdf board that acts as the back panel was an issue for me as it doesn’t align perfectly when it slides in making the top portion lift up. The wood material of the product was flimsy and the white paint chipped off when simply installing screws or trying to get sections together.
I finally stopped installing after 3 hours when the corner section where the two sides connect chipped off one of the drawers. This totally exposed where the support screws are supposed to come in rendering the entire thing useless. The mdf board and the screws all don’t line up that the cheap product cannot take any pressure when bringing them together.
The bones of the product are weak, the support is so wobbly and the screws and tenons all easily pull apart when pushing or handling the product.

Overall this is a well made home filing drawer. The quality is excellent, and for the price it is a good value. We would buy it again without hesitation.
Other reviewers have noted assembly issues. It is not difficult to assemble, but it does take more time than expected. There are four separate pieces to put together; the outer shell, and three drawers. The drawers have metal + ball bearing slides which make for smooth and reliable operation. The slides are Right and Left pairs, and you have to pay attention to mounting them correctly. There are a lot of parts, packed so they can be identified correctly. Thanks to the excellent instructions it is not difficult, but you need to pay attention. A ratcheting screwdriver is a big help.

I like the sleek look for sure; it matches my other furniture really well. However, as other comments have said, this isn’t the most secure. The back and bottom of the drawers are all pretty flimsy. But if I wanted secure, I would’ve gone for metal. I just want a wooden set of drawers with wheels and a lock, so this is fine. There’s some discoloration on the wood here and there and they give you lots of extra screws, etc… If I ever need another one, I would buy again.
My biggest complaint however was how much work it took to put it together! It took me 3 hrs (with just a screwdriver, no power drill). This has got to be the most complicated piece of furniture I ever put together. It’s good, but do we really need 3 sizes of different screws, etc…..?
I like the finished product a lot, but was it worth 3 hrs? lol
