This is my first drone, so I’m no expert. But I had this little guy flying in no time. The controls are straightforward, although they take a little getting used to for a novice. I expect for someone with a lot of experience they would be seamless right out of the gate.
The video camera is pretty amazing. The stabilization system, with the three-axis gimbal, creates amazingly smooth and stable video, even in light gusts of wind. When you input a command to the drone and it has to tile fore or aft or sideways to execute it, the video is rock solid stable. And with the responsiveness of the controls it is possible to do slow, sweeping arcs which really look great.
I did have an issue one of the first times I flew the drone and didn’t clearly understand all of the instructions, especially how to manually land the drone if the auto land function for some reason doesn’t land the drone. I had this issue (I believe there were too many obstructions around) and before I could figure out how to override the auto land function the drone sensed low battery and went into RTH mode and headed for it’s starting point. Unfortunately there was a tree between it and its home, and it flew right into the branches and was caught, about 60 feet up in the air!
Here’s where the great customer service comes in. I emailed Mathew and let him know what had happened, and let him know that I was frustrated because there were no instructions on how to manually land the drone (fly it to the ground, then hold it on the ground using the down control for five seconds and it will turn itself off.) Mathew was very understanding and explained that the drone was brand new and the training materials were not fully complete. And then he offered to send me a replacement drone, for free!
I thanked him for the very generous offer, but told him I was going to try to recover the drone, and if I could, and it still worked, all would be well. Miraculously, the next day, the drone fell out of the tree, fell through a number of branches and saplings, and made it all the way to the ground, without a scratch! It’s one tough little guy! And it still works perfectly!
Like I said, I’m a total amateur, so the video attached is no great shakes, but I’ll get better, and it sure is fun!

I’m pretty new to drone piloting and have only flown the cheaper toy-type drones. I wanted something a little more reliable and with GPS. Did a fair amount of research and this beauty was appealing to me after reading some reviews and comments on forums. I’ve taken it out a few times now and have had no issues. It was easy to setup and the FAA registration was easy too. The GPS feature seems very accurate – you can view your flight logs in the app and it maps your flight. Very cool.
I bought the extra battery with it and I use both when I fly it. I think the most I dared to go was about 30 min before changing it out. That’s plenty of time.
Video quality is great and once you get used to the app a little, it’s quite user friendly!
I haven’t tried all the features yet, like Fly Home, but I plan to try those out next time I take it out.
I would recommend this drone to anyone that’s on the fence. I’m definitely enjoying it!

I bought the Drone-Clone Xperts Limitless 5 as a replacement of my previous drone which was great but does not have FAA compliant Remote ID broadcast capabilities. I attached a remote ID module to my previous drone and after losing it in flight, I decided I needed a built in one.
The first biggest kudos for this company is the level of customer support. Even before I have the drone, the company was so willing and responsive to questions. My previous experience with customer support has been disappointing since usually it is from China and it takes a while for them to address issues. It is great that the support on the Limitless 5 is from a US company and what a top-notch service do they provide! 5 stars on the support.
Because the remote ID was crucial for me to make this purchase, this is one of the system I tested. Under the FAA registration button of the app, once you get the FAA registration, you enter it on this screen and select “Bind to drone.”. Not wanting to trust the drone software, I launched the drone and utilized my drone scanner app. This is to ensure that the drone indeed broadcasts the info required by the FAA (such as drone serial number, location and altitude, velocity, control station location, time and status). This was my first pleasant surprise. Most drone manufacturers utilize WiFi to broadcast remote ID (FAA allows WiFi and/or Blue Tooth). Since I am using the iPhone which prevented WiFi data from being read (only Station ID), I can never see drones RID from those manufacturers broadcasting in WiFi only. Much to my surprise Limitless 5 broadcasted in Bluetooth (BT 4) which is visible by my drone scanner. Granted it’s not the latest BT 5, but my app immediately recognizes the drone that’s hovering overhead. It is unknown if it also broadcast in WiFi.
The drone is very easy to control, stable but can book when the throttle is engaged, especially in sport mode. I tend to shy away from the Sport mode since I fly among buildings, and I would like the anti-collision services which you give up in Sport mode. The quality of the video captured on the SD card is excellent. The SD card interface is pretty intelligent. Through the Limitless 5 app, it will tell you if it needs formatting and will do the formatting for you. The SD card creates several directories: photo (pictures taken are stored here), thumb (thumbnail images of pictures are stored here), and video (recorded video stored here in mp4 format). 5 stars on the drone aircraft.
The next big surprise was the fact that the drone and the remote apparently utilize all the available GPS services. In my area for example, at most I can see 8 US based navstar satellites (the US based GPS service). This drone however can see 20 to 22 which indicates that they use other available GPS satellites –such as BeiDou (China) and perhaps GLONASS (Russia) and Galileo (Europe). In any case, the more satellites are used, the more accurate positioning and navigation capabilities it has. Be aware though, even the most accurate GPS has a “drift” that can be as much as ten feet. I mentioned this so that you can make sure when you take off that you are in a sufficiently large clear area since the automatic return home may not land on a dime.
The gimbal housing the camera is extremely stable. I flew the drone in a rather windy day and there’s hardly any jitter in the video. I uploaded a video and photo of the drone camera to show the stability, but keep in mind that images and video uploaded are compressed so you can never see the 4K HDR quality.
While I have not had a chance to test all features (such as distance, transmission range, enhanced video modes, etc.), all in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Drone-Clone Xperts Limitless 5. You can’t beat the price. This drone has features only available in high end drones (such as collision avoidance and enhanced video). 5 stars from me.

Just getting done unboxing the drone and I’m am impressed beyond belief. The drone it’s is larger than what I expected. The controller felt very nice even better than a DJI that I had. It came in a nice zip up case with extra wings and connectors for the controller to you phone. Also I has a separate phone holder that hooks to the controller. Will review more once it’s in the air.
OH MY GOD!!!!!! This drone is amazing. So easy to fly. This is the best bang for your buck if you want a good quality drone. Totally amazed was easy to setup and was flying in ten minutes.
